The purple Efest 2500mah battery is a re-wrapped/rebranded LG18650HE2 with a tested and verified 20 amp continuous discharge rate. Purple Efest Batteries not as Advertised

If you need a 30A CDR battery here are several you can choose from:

1. Orbtronic SX30 2100mah 30A
2. Sony VTC4 2100mah 30A (there are no authentic VTC5's out there)
3. xtar 2100mah 30A (re-wrapped Sony VTC4)

BATTERIES - WHERE TO BUY

Only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are several reputable battery suppliers in the US.

* RTD Vapor
* Illumination Supply
* Lighthound
* Orbtronics

VTC 5 no longer are produced and are likely a rewrap of any number of unknown batteries if you were to find one. The red EH batteries are rewraps of sony seconds. They work every bit as good as the sony wrapped batt's .... usually come with button top which I pop off and rewrap the batt's. VTC3 is 1500 mah 30a and VTC 4 is 2100mah 30a. great if you can find real ones. but the samsung 25r is your best bet to find a real cell and not some rewrap mystery.

Got proof? The sx 30 came out long before the vct, and was believed to be a sanyo.

Not calling you out, just always like to see stuff for myself, and get correct info

No doubt its possible orbtronix rewrapped them before the public found out about them too.

Sanyo has never made a 30 amp cell to the best of my knowledge. I should correct myself a little. the orbtronic is a sony manufactured cell to their spec's
the sony VTC4 is just the same battery that sony used for their own power packs. The only reason I know this is I worked for a military contractor refurbushing
portable radio packs. With military the source for materials has to be disclosed and approved. they come out of the same plant.

Clear up alittle more. we didn't buy from either company, a 3rd party sold to us. we would then have to rewrap with the appropriate wrapper for the military. We hated getting getting Orbtronic because they always came button top.

now i understand why the vtc4,5 and 25r's are recommended, i guess either the vtc4 or 25r will be my next batteries to invest in

There are no AUTHENTIC VTC5's to be found at reputable battery suppliers.

If you need a 30A battery the Sony VTC4 is great.
If you only need a 20A battery the Samsung 25r is great as well.

My 2 cents. The Samsung INR18650-25r are kick .... for six bucks and change. I don't subohm and the 20 amp rating is considerably more than I need. For 10 amps max, which covers everything I normally do, the Panasonic NCR18650BD is excellent at about 10 Bucks. They provide 3200 mah which greatly extends vaping time. I have a couple mods that are a pain to change batteries in and the Pannies are great for those. Illumn dot com has excellent service and the lowest prices for the trusted vendors. Happy vaping.
