Efest IMR Chemically Safe batteries , are they safe ?

Yes, V-V / V-W boost circuit processors have built-in protection to sense a potential short from a battery and shut themselves down.

The IMR, high drain batteries do not use a protection circuit because they use safer chemistry materials that are not as volatile as Lithium Ion batteries. I consider their use to be safer than protected batteries even in mechanical mods that do not have built in protection.

Efests have a reputation as being a good battery. Also AW and Panasonic are excellent brands. Hopefully you have a high quality charger to go with those batteries; ie Pila, Xtar, or Nitecore.
