I haven't noticed anything negative mainly just throat irritation from pg heavy juice..

Sent from my Nexus 4

I get the same thing from heavy PG juices. Scratchy dry throat feeling, even under heavy hydration.

Switching to a higher VG content of 50/50 or 40/60 has cured that for me. I'm enjoying vaping a lot more with more VG than PG

I had previously thought that PG juices were bothering my thyroid condition when I tried vaping last spring. Not sure if it was the PG or the other stuff they were putting in those awful pre-filled Chinese carts. But just to be safe and successful I've only been smoking 100%VG juice so far. Have a big order of 80%VG/20%PG coming in though, hope it doesn't bother me, the flavors looked great!

If I'm chain vaping and its a heavy VG I notice a kind of congestion in my lungs. Read of there being minor concern of VG build up in the lungs with extended use, though I'm not all that worried about it.

I like working with PG. Its consistency is easy to work with versus VG. But I definitely don't get that congestion feel with juices leaning towards PG.

What about the effects inhaling the numerous artificial flavours? That can't be too good either.

Well compared to non polluted fresh air sure it's not, but this ain't space balls you can't buy canned air. Compared to smoking I will gladly vape food grade materials versus known poisons and toxic materials.

getting a feeling in the back of my throat . goes away with hydration. one of my nicotine nazi friends thinks worse problems from vaping than smoking. but he is at the age where people decide everything is bad for you, and obsess over everything they eat and drink

I know most stories I read including my own show it greatly improves your health vs smoking. I hope he doesn't drink caffeine if he is hating on nicotine.

For the record I'm not really a doctor I just play one on the intrawebz.

It's food grade because it's deemed safe after passing through the digestion system and liver/kidneys.

I.e, warning labels for nicotine state "Toxic if swallowed" and "Very toxic in contact with skin." Substances that enter through skin or by inhalation skip most of the bodies defenses.

Not trying to be a smart-... or scare monger. I'm just a bit concerned about this myself. Wish I could get some firm reassurance. At least I know my lungs will taste GREAT if someone ever decide to fry me up.

Edit: Actually, Canned Air just hit the Chinese market

When I first started it lasted maybe 2 weeks. Just remember to stay hydrated when vaping and this will lessen and this will decrease the viscosity of your mucus.

hmmm..that doesn't sound that bad at all. I drink a lot of water throughout the day, so I don't think that'll be a problem. How viscous can the mucus get? LOL

The firm reassurance you seek isn't easy to come by, everything a person ingests has a 50/50 chance of reacting differently in each individuals system.
If your safety concerns outweigh the benefits of being smoke free it is time to quit inhaling anything but air.

For me, it's enough to know that I no longer inhale approximately 4000 known toxins and carcinogens with each drag off of a cigarette.
Your comfort / risk level may differ.
