So, I'm here: 510 Atomizers : GoodEjuice.com, Premium USP eJuice, Electronic Cigarette Kits And Accessories At The Lowest Prices.

For one example.

4 different atomizers for a 510. All the same price. NO idea what the difference is in terms of performance or quality.

I dread the thought of switching designs, as I have quite a bit of money invested in the 510 units, but I was maximum vapor, maximum flavor, maximum lifespan, and minimum cost. I don't ask for much ;-)

I think I want to switch to flat tip cartridges because I think it'll be less effort to draw from them, and therefore, more vapor. But seriously. what's with all the choices? I feel like my head is going to explode.

There is a LOT of information and opinions here about drips, tanks, cartomizers, etc...It does feel like the more I learn, the less I know. I like simple, slow sentences, with small words. :)

Is there a certain type of atomizer I should look for to get the maximum pull for my 510? is it about the strength? What is the difference between high resistance and low resistance?

Also, I have cleaned out my atomizers, and some of them taste good agin, but one or two of them still taste burned and nasty. Should I assume that they are fubar and toss them before I torture myself some more?

Also, juice: I use 0mg PG juice. Am I screwed for vapor production because of this? How often should I refill the carts? I am paranoid about burning the atomizers, so I tend to refill a lot. I think I might have flooded a few of them along the way (but they're cleaned now, so they should be alright - right?).

:deep breath: OK, I feel better.

An 'eGad', eh?
Sounds like the latest PV to set us all a-tremble with anticipation

But seriously, keep taking the deep breaths and reflect on this.

Vapor: vapor production is strongly related to the ratio of PG to VG in your liquid. If you have more VG, you will get less flavor and less throat hit but more vapor (and the opposite for more PG). Most folk vape at around 80/20 PG to VG or down to 60/40.

510: The 510 thread system is in very widespread use and seems to have become something of a standard. Because of this, the range of PVs and accessories is widest and, IMHO, the best.

Atomizers: These are notoriously tricky - for this reason, most folk switch to cartomizers (a combined atomizer/cartridge unit) as they tend to give more consistent performance. The atomizers you list on the page link are all the same model (Bauway) but have different resistances.

Atomizer resistance: Generally, the lower the resistance, the hotter the atomizer will run. The trick here is finding a balance between not burning out your battery and/or burning the juice with a low-resistance (that is, less than 2 ohms) atomizer and something that satisfies you. For most users with Ego type batteries, 2 ohms is a good place to be - maybe 2.2 or 2.4. Higher than that and you won't see much vapor, flavor or TH.

High Voltage: is any PV running at more than 5 volts - it requires higher resistance atomizers.

Draw/Pull: this is a function of how much air is allowed to move through the atomizer body and over the coil - that depends on the manufacturing tolerances and the make/model...you can best determine your preference by experimentation. Airflow is also affected by whether you have a cone (on Ego types) over the battery/atomizer thread connection.

Well, hope all this helps...remember, YMMV and enjoy the journey!

There are differences in the Atomizers on that page but they all have 510 connectors:
The EM high volt is for use with high voltage Mods
The EM standard is just your basic standard 510 atty
The Bauway and EM Low Resistance attys look to be similar but from different manufactures - low resistance tends to give a slightly warmer vape.

For your ecig I would go with the standard or low resistance versions.

Bardic: I have. It makes my head spin. I'm a simple gal. I just want to know what will give me the most vapor, flavor, and value. Like, I'm sure a different model (like pen style) would give me a better throat hit and vapor overall, but the thought of switching and figuring out WHICH kind/brand/accessories to buy would likely send me on a one way trip to the funny farm. :)

Here are three easy solutions assuming you don't mind a Sharpie-sized PV:Get a Kgo, Ego or Riva kit. I put the Kgo first because it's got a longer battery life and higher voltage (warmer, better experience) and it's priced right. Any of the 3 are great options.

Get a KGO at HoosierEcigSupply for 45.00. Check Breezesmokes too. They sell them for $5 less when they have them in stock. They go fast and suppliers are often out of stock.

Or get an Ego or Riva - a little more expensive and shorter batt life and not as much power but you'll hardly be able to tell the diff. LibertyFlights has the kits. Be sure to click the 20% off at the top of the page for the best deal. Most vendors sell Egos but I don't think you'll find a better deal than LF unless someone is having a big sale.

Get cartomizers. If you choose the KGO get Low Resistance Dual Coil (LR) cartomizers. Get regular resistance if you get a Riva or Ego. The LR Dual Coil cartomizers simulate higher voltage vaping giving you a better experience.

Juice: That's the hardest part. You'll read a review and be drooling - order the juice and it tastes like dog poo to you. Taste is very different person to person. Here are three top suppliers. Get the smallest samples you can. If you don't like them, you can trade or sell them in the classifieds on ECF or the PIF section and not lose a bunch of cash. These three companies have legions of fans.

KickBassVapor (.com)
BackWoodsBrew (.net)
AVEjuice (.com)

Hope something here helps. Good luck!

I just want to know what will give me the most vapor, flavor, and value.

The problem is, there is no "best". There's just best for you. Which car is best? For me it might be a Ram 2500 pickup truck. For you it might be a BMW convertible. For someone else it might be a Scion XB. PVs are like that.

I want throat hit. I want adjustable. I want a wide variety of options. I don't care about it looking like a cigarette, and I don't care about hauling around something that could do double duty as a nightstick. The best for me is a ProVari variable voltage device. Would that be best for you? Maybe. Maybe not.
