Try the Kgo/ Riva batteries out too. They start at the high end of the vv Ego.
Normal Ego's are 3.4 volts Normal Kgo/Riva's are 3.7 volts.
The VV Ego goes to both if I'm not mistaken.

TH is dependent on both the voltage and the nicotine level.

Even with my Provari I'm still around 3.8-4.0 when using low resistance carto's.
That's not much higher then the 3.7 that the Kgo/ Riva batteries provide. It just keeps it there all day long instead of the steady drop that happens with the other Kgo type batteries. The regular Ego's are regulated so it's always at 3.4 volts. I'm pretty sure the vv Ego batteries will also have a voltage drop over time.

I really like the VV option, especially with the T-tanks, as their sweet spot for me is around 4.2.

I have a Merlin, an 18650 VV mod, and a couple of eGo booster add-ons that I can use with all of my other eGo's and mods. All work fantastic.

Good luck on your quest. You will be so spoiled with VV.

Is it worth it to spend the big bucks on an ego vv or just get a vv unit?

if U wait for the next promotion sale ,like in healthcabin the VV eGo starter kit goes for a very reasonable price..i certainly recommend VV, be it the lavatube, provari, mods or VV eGo(weigh yr needs & cost,as cheap as $50 to $300) as VV the advantage of using in most cartos from 1.5 ohms to under 3 ohms for VV eGo and lavatube & provari any cartos is compatible..takes all the guess work which cartos is compatible to yr existing gadget that dont have VV..regards mafig

A bit of advice for you... if you get the ego vv make sue you get it from a site with a good return policy. The one I got broke before 30 days of use, and the company only had a 14 day warranty on it. My original eGo battery however, is still going after a year of use. I liked the vv while it was working though, good luck!

I wanted to pop in here and say that the ego variable voltage pass-through actually only goes as high as your laptop/computer will allow it to go. I have heard a lot of weird things about the ego PV. How much are you looking to spend on a vv device? Are you on a tight budget, or do you want something that will last forever? Because cutting corners has its advantages, but a GOOD mod has its own advantages. Why are you looking for vv? Is it the throat hit? If it is the throat hit, then you will get good throat hit at 3.7 volts on just about any 18650PV, with low res atty/cartomizers. The Riva batteries have a good following here on ecf and they are easy to recommend, but there are just SO MANY mods and PVs. 3.7v with low res is a great starting point and you may never need a vv device. However if your the type that will want to see what vv has to offer, or if when you were a smoker, you basically needed a cigarette in your mouth at all times, like i did, or if you NEED good flavor and throat hit, then going strait to the vv device is a good idea. With vv price is the problem. The VV Saber mods actually have a built in pass through battery if you order it, which is one of the coolest pv features i've ever seen. But with this, your going to pay over $100 for the mod. The K-GO aka RIVA OR Genuine JOYE 3.7 volt batts are great as well, or the Roughstack, the Silverbullet, the Omega, the boxmods out there, they are all great 3.7v mods to pair with low res equipment for the vape that most people enjoy. Riva: $45.00 MODS: $100-150 Riva: 8 hours life 18650 MODS: 1.5 day(s) battery life. So, the mods have better battery life and replaceable batteries. Right now there are some websites with great deals on the Lavatube/L-Rider/Vtube variable voltage mods. You can get one for under $80.00 at the moment. ApolloEcigs is where I just ordered mine and you get a kit for the same price as a Riva kit. If you need a small size, Riva is the way to go. I'm just finding out that Kalamazoovaporshop.com has some cool VV models and they also carry 18650 Ego-T batteries. I'm definitely still learning myself. Cool stuff.

If your concerned about getting more vapor, and throat hit isn't AS important, than simply changing to a higher amount of Vegitable Glycerin in your nicotine juice will also help in this area. The variable voltage device will produce more vapor and more throat hit as well. But, if you are on a tight budget, then getting a high VG or all VG juice will be great too. If you need throat hit and good vapor, then getting a variable voltage device is great. Also, switching to low resistance atomizer/cartomizers will also help. Implimenting all of these tips will probably really satisfy you. :]
