Ok, so got my freshly charged battery out this morning and started vaping away at about 10am... here it is 4 hours later and my battery stopped working.

Ok i thought it might just be dead (though i charged it yesterday) and nope sure enough a quick 20 minutes on the charger has it at full capacity.

So i try it again... still nothing

So i look at it this time and when i push the button i get 3 flashes.

Does anyone know what this flash code is? I'm in the middle of the ocean and dont have a whole lot of options if this thing goes dead (would be down to a single battery) So needles to say i'm worried

Help
K_M

p.s. it should read 1100mah battery :(

Look at the atty that does this. You should see the center contact of the carto extending out noticeably from the outer ring. .5mm to 1mm is probably enough. If it's almost level with the outer ring, then you may be grounding the center to the outside. That will result in no vapor and three flashes.

I just shorted my eGo 1000mah batt with a pocketknife blade. The LED came on and then three flashes. There's probably a difference in the height of the center post in that battery that is allowing the carto to screw down further.

Here's how you fix it. Bend a jumbo paper clip with one leg at a right angle. Use pliers to bend a tiny right angle on that leg. It needs to be able to enter the hole in the threaded end of the carto and bind when you pull. Work the center post of the carto out until you have a noticeable ledge where the center protrudes from the ring. That should fix it. The center post is suspended in a silicone ring that protects it from touching the outer ring. It will move slightly and can be pulled outward.

Examine both batteries. The center post in the battery can be forced in just like the one on the carto by screwing the carto on too tight. Light pressure after contact is all you need. No more than 1/8 turn is good.

Ok. Ive worked it out in quite a few stages and no matter how I connect the attys to the battery it still gives three flashes. Both attys work on the other battery that i have, its just this one keeps giving me the 3 flashes :(

It wouldnt be so bad if i wasnt in the middle of the ocean and cant go and buy/have something shipped. So i'm trying any and everything i can to keep the equipment working.

If i cant get it before tonight i might have the electricians tear the thing apart and make me an "oil field" mod... it wont be pretty and will probably run on 480v but it will work one way or another :p (actually this solution terrifies me to no end knowing the mad scientist oil field guys i work with)

hi Kamin_Mejere.."So i look at it this time and when i push the button i get 3 flashes"..it is the internal curcuitry that stopped yr battery from functioning..i suggest these remedies..clicked 5 times and that will switch off yr battery as to reset yr curcuitry & click 5 times to switch back ON..if yr battery need to be charged..than do so..if U think there still enough power in yr battery..make sure yr atomizer is standard resistence(SR) rather than low resistence(LR)..as eGo battery is only 3.7 fully charged drained to 3.4V when in used after a few hours vaping..if U using a cartridge/atomizer combo, rather than a cartomizer..make sure U attached the cartridge and atomizer properly..failing that will stop the flow of juice into the atomizer ..and the eGo battery's curcuitry will cut off the power supply..i stopped using eGo batteries because of this..and moved to variable voltage(VV) eGo and dont have any issues with misfunction of the battery..VV eGo ,3 settings..3.2V,3.7V to 4.2V and is compatible with atomizer from 1.5 LR to 2.7 SR ohms or LR,SR cartomizers..when U fix yr atomizer/cartridge..just finger tight..do not over-tightened(same when U charge yr battery)..and do checked out what DaveP tells U about the centre post in yr battery..lift a little and make sure the post has contact with the atomizer..good luck hope yr battery problem solved..happy vaping..regards mafig
