It only has about a 1/16 of an inch where the chrome piece attaches to the tank, I tried just pushing it back on but I wanted it to make it more secure. It looks like it will stay, I hope.
Did the plastic actually crack off?

I had the chrome come off too, but normally I just push it back on. (will need some force)
Although, after a few times (a week or so) it will not have enough tightness, and will need replacing.

Hi Judy, It needs to be unscrewed. I normally remove the silicone and the little metal spacer under the silicone(sounds like you have already done this), then place a flat blade screwdriver( butter knife etc.) in the slot and give it a little turn. It should loosen enough so that you can spin it with your fingers and unscrew it. Repeat in reverse for the new replacement head and you will be all set.

Dont forget to make sure it is very tight when replacing.

I also double check the first few refills that it is tight.
Then it should be good for the future refills.

If you do not make sure it is very tight, then each time you unscrew the tip, it could loosen.

This also may be the case if now power is going to the coil.

Why do I get a lot of liquid and gurgling sometimes when I refill my CE4? I always make sure everything is tight and I'm just wondering if its leaking where the coil attaches. When the liquid gets about halfway, it works great. Any ideas? I never fill over 2ml.
Is the plastic tip that holds the little cap sliding up from the coil when you take the drip tip off ? I had that a couple times and it allows the juice in the coil more. I just pushed it back down and it fixed it. Maybe try that ? :?:

One reason for these bad boys leaking/gurgling I've found is that the post goes off center in the tank, allowing juice to slowly leak between the battery and the tank. I think it may have something to do with the o-ring/grommet between the nub and the tank base. I only have one that does this so far, and haven't tried to straighten the post to see if it fixes the problem yet. I'll report back here when I do get around to it, though.

Are you talking about the "rubber silicon" cap on the coil? I think that piece is supposed to seal the mouth piece so it won't leak when turned upside down.
yep. sometimes it slides UP and ya gotta push it back down

I have had to push the bottom cup up a little on some juices ...

Sent from my crappy phone.
both of these can move and make more juice go into the coil. I've had the top one move on me before but not the bottom one

I also wanted to note that I simply remove the silicone cap at the wick end of the heads, have had zero problems without them. It lets the short wicks really open up, have had almost zero dry hits this way. Wish I could remember who on this board mentioned that tip.

The silicone sleeve on the posts sometimes need a little adjusting, too, if you're getting dry hits. Seems that if you pull them up flush with the end of the head, screwing the cap on seats them perfectly. YMMV

Thats what I thought about the top silicon piece. I still think that it only seals the mouth piece. If the top silicon piece is moved, the mouth piece just pushes it back down in it normal position. As far as the bottom silicon, I think that that piece acts as a bowl that holds some liquid that keeps the wick wet.
