Thanks guys!

I'm fine with vaping at low volts. If I keep it low, I get good flavor. I'm trying 100% VG because I had developed a rash around the corners of my mouth. So far it's gone. I have some older Vision eGo Clearomizers 2.1-2.4 Ohm that I rinsed out and am air drying. They were tasting burnt too but that was before I got the twist. Anyway, thanks for the tips. I'm afraid to tinker with the rubber parts.

You will need to tilt if you let them run low, but otherwise the silicone reservoir will take care of that.

What I have learned from experience (but may not have to be done at all)
is I actually push down the bottom silicone or pull up the top silicone (which with the new tip, I think gets pushed back down)
This is to allow faster wicking, etc.....but too much and you will have serious leaking problems.

Also, you might have too much voltage applied.
If this is the case, turn down voltage or you may need higher ohm cartos...

We have found that even the 2.5ohm can be run at 3.3 volts. (no throat hit, but good flavor)

I had experienced bad flavor with my first 2 that I tried (they were not from Rob). I simply removed the bottom silicon and they both are vaping excellently with no leaks. I really can't see the point in it being there unless it is to keep the sloshing of the liquid from getting to the tip. (Where it destroys it - cracking tips?)

i really dont believe in the cracking of newer clearos ... i have had a couple really thin older ones crack at the bottom, but they were not juices that would have cracked them. one was usa mix, one was vanilla cupcake (both in smoktek cl clear cartos) and ry4 in a ce2 clearo.

i have had dekang litchi in a stardust for 5 weeks, no cracking. i have had dekang lemon in a smoktek clear carto for 4 weeks, no cracking.

granted, we haven't tried the cinnamon, but we have had Rob's juicy fruit in a clearo (aqua vapor branded 2Ω ce2 style) for 3 weeks or so, and it is fine ... i top it off every couple of days, and check the bottom to make sure it isn't twisting in there.

i believe most of our cracking issues were with my wife wanting to over-tighten the clearos.

Believe it. Now I'm not talking about the new EGO CC's, but when I first tried a Cinnamon Red Hots juice (from a vendor I won't mention) in my Vision 1.6 Stardusts (or what ever you want to call them), brand new, mind you - I watched as it turned the inside of the clear plastic to opaque within about 2 minutes! Then on another occasion I made my DIY Wild Cherry/Vanilla cupcake, put it in a new Vision Stardust and within a minute I noticed it was leaking; then it literally cracked to pieces right before my eyes in about 10 seconds!!!

I do know that these were not the newest style of plastic that are now being used on the Visions, but to say they do not crack from certain types of liquid is being naive, at best.

I haven't tried this particular juice on these new EGO CC's (for obvious reasons), but I'm hoping the grade of plastic is at par with the newer Stardusts.

Rob, I had a new one crack this morning ... New tip ... And it cracked weird ... Not down the seam like the old ones, but across.

Another note - had a mtn dew flavored juice totally cloud a yellow tube ... Literally within five minutes of first fill ... Had just pulled out out of the wrapper

Wanted to make sure you have used a new tip?

The tips that are new, are actually sent with the CE4, but
it is still the old style that is attached to them.
Ok, I see the old tips are on the new cartos, but the new tips are not supposed to crack? I think I may have an old tip on one of mine. I carry two with me at all times and I think I may have an old tip. I will switch it out this afternoon and see how it goes.

I believe it may be the different juices that are effecting the New tips. I got some with my last order and have had no trouble with all but one of them. The one I use my favorite juice in, Wintergreen, had the new drip tip come apart from the little clips on the inside of the tip. :( I tried my darndest to fix it but it just wouldn't stay together. All my other flavor juices haven't had any trouble with the new tip. I love the draw and flavor on these so much I had to adapt something to use with my 'strong juice' So I went into my 'used' vaping stuff and made up a tip to use for this juice. I hope I'm not causing any trouble here, I just wanted to show what I did to be able to keep using these cartos, I believe are one of the best functioning out there. I have had no leaking from this and it's working great so far. The screw top I'm using here is from another brand of clearomizer that is the same size and uses a 510 drip tip. It has the same threads as these Ce4's. I used a dremel for reaming the hole bigger on the inside for the coil. I refuse to give up on these Ce4's as I love them to death ! If there were a one pieced aluminum tip for these I would be the happiest girl around  My wintergreen is finally just starting to cloud the very first one of these I bought. I've been using it daily for over a month now. I say they're well worth the money for these !

Please Please ask them if they can make an Aluminum drip tip top for these  Thank you :D

Great!

I wasnt denying anything, but I had thought I might as well mention it.

as for different liquids, they WILL have an effect.

AG51, that is what you call MODDING to suit! Nice!

Blue is the only color that has the new tip installed, and that is only ones bought the last week or so.

Hope this helps!

Glad I made the right assumption with my rainbow 5 pack. I replaced all the tips with new ones before filling any of them.

So far my best favors are watermelon and apple 100%VG thinned with distiller water. 3.8V seems to be a good place. I've got more favors to try but find it hard to switch once I get something good.

I have not tried removing the silicone bottom cover yet to see if it made any difference with my coffee favors. They tend to taste best at 3.2

Happy Friday!

crack sideways as in half?

What liquids were you using?

Since most items are now using plastics, we will probably be dropping all the problem flavorings
such as cinnamon/red hots, dew, k bourbon, pear, cola and a few others.

this one had dew flavored juice in it, but i don't think it had anything to do with the tip cracking. i put it on and it cracked immediately - it might have been cracked already, and tightening it down just split it more.
i put the old style tip on it, and it has been fine so far.

ED: strike above comments - it was definately the juice. i have had another juice totally annihilate 2 more tips and cloud my smoke tube ... it looks like the tubes are holding up well to the juice other than getting a little hazy inside. this was a rum & cola juice.

I thought that cinnamon and citrus juices were the tank killers, but cola too? pear? what else do i need to watch out for?

 Oh no, I'm sorry :(
I have to say that my 'clouding up' one...that's all it did, It clouded the color of the tube but it hasn't cracked it or made it leak at all. So I'm still using it

Is that wrong of me ? Should I chuck it ? It hasn't changed the taste or vape or anything :?:
