Ego 510 cartomizers

From what I understand standard 610 cartos will work fine. The Ego specific cartos are larger and therefor hold more juice.
I could be wrong but i am rather sure that the battery refers more to the length that the battery will last and not compatibility. As far as EGO carto's I believe they all use 510's unless you are looking at mega. I forget if there are mega carto's or not. I know there are mega cartridges for it - but I doubt i will ever use a cartridge/atomizer again.
The 650, 750, 1000 or whatever is the size of the battery which dictates how long it will last - not the strength (voltage).
I have no engineering ability of any kind (why I was a business major) so if i am wrong on anything, please chime in.

the batt I have is a tornado mega. it's a 1000 mah Ego as compared to the original Ego of 650.
I got it from TW and they have mega cartos to go with it. I thought 510 cartos are also ok (no need for adaptor). But I just read a post somewhere that u need to use an adaptor "as the adaptor can extend the length, to allow a non-tornado cartomizer to be used".

when you use the 510 megas how far out above the cone do they extend? the only reason I'd see for an adaptor needed is the regulars dont fit over the cone(on 650 ego reg 510's stick about 1/2" while megas go 1".
510=510=510 ... it's the connector that matters. Other ecigs can have different threads and there are adaptors that allow the use of those items. The magas are larger but still fit - depending on size they may look funny together, but all the 510 stuff should work together.
You nailed it I guess. without the cone it'll be fine. right?
Which adaptor should I use if I put a 510 cart on a mega and still want to fit the cone?

This, from what I've gathered so far the only time a 510 item isn't compatible is with the PT ego's your not suppose to use LR atty's or carto's, or you can but they kill them real quick.
Yeah w/o the cone is ok although I'd use some caution like not storing it in your pocket with keys or anything that could damage the exposed threads.
No clue about what adapter to make it longer though.
So, are you saying that the 510 and the eGo are basically the same thing?
Pretty much, eGo is a 510 with a high cap battery, everything 510 will work with the ego.
Okay, now, I'm going to ask a dumb question. I just ordered a 510 passthru. Can I use that with the eGo battery that I just ordered?
you can use the same carts, carto's or/and atty's that you use with the PT on your eGo.
Yeah!!! That's what I was hoping! I'm still haven't gotten them get---the eGo battery, the passthru, and everything, but I'm looking forward to partying at my mailbox tomorrow!! 
I already had a 510 myself so when I decided to give the eGo a go, I bought just the PT w/ a cone and a pack of new CE2 carto's reused all my other old 510 stuff. Today the mailman should be bringing me a standard eGo battery and eGo specific mega atty/carts/carto's.
