I have a Red Kiwi branded Ego 650 mah battery that wont turn on. I put it on the charger and the tri-color led go's through its cycle and shows that it is charging. The charger led shows red that it is charging but never turns green and if I remove the battery it will not turn on at all now. Just wondered if there may be something I'm overlooking . Tried a different charger also, thanks all

You could try raising the center pin on your battery very slightly. Perhaps it's not making contact with your charger. Unbend a paperclip or use a small screwdriver and very gently raise it. Careful because it's very easy to damage the battery.

Make sure the connections are clean. Do you have a multi-meter? How old is the battery? Perhaps it's just a faulty battery.

Oooopps.....I forgot to mention it's brand new. I'm going to guess it is bad and needs returned. Out of 6 express kits from IVape this was the only problem so I guess those are decent odds.

I asked if it had previously worked because on the on/off function, but it sounds like you're more experienced than that. ;)

Sometimes it's the same price, or less for an Original joyetech battery. The knockoffs don't have some protection circuits nor do they switch from 3.4 to 3.7 unregulated volts.

I'm not a brand-name snob but I've had several egos and Joye are worth it.

Absolutely agree! have 2 joyetech 650s for over a year now no power lost as good as new. I have ordered over 20 same batteries for other people not one has failed me!

Generally, depending on the charger, if there is a bad connection due to the center pin, the charger will show green. I would opt for a faulty battery.

I've just had a brand new Ego battery that didn't work....it was my 3rd battery (I don't want to get caught out without a fully charged one!!), and the first 2 worked fine.. the 3rd one won't heat a coil, although its lighting up when i press the button.... its going back to the supplier on Monday..

I've seen the threads about prising up the center pin, but as its brand new, I'd rather they tinker with it..!

Contacted iVape about the batt and had a RMA emailed back to me in 30 mins at 9:30 pm lol, great CS. Sent it back and waiting for the replacement. Don't know if they will notify me when they receive it and "test" it as to the problem or not. But don't care since they are taking care of it and it only cost me $1.80 to ship back.
