Ego atomizer problem with juice not draining from filter

I have been vaping for 1 1/2 years and I am currently using an Ego atty which contains a filter filled with padding to hold the juice. Problem is that after a couple of days using a new Ego atty, the liquid in my filter fails to drain into the atomizer.

The store where I buy this has run out of ideas on how to solve the problem. I am a newbie in this forum and don't have the "lingo" down yet, but was hoping someone has experienced this problem as well.

The Ego atty vapes just fine, but when juice doesn't drain, it quickly dries up and tastes burnt. I end up having to put drops of eliquid directly into the atomizer.

I am using a 750 mah battery to power it.

I sense there is an airflow issue. My atty is cleaned properly at least twice a week by my e-cig store.

Any ideas??

Some other suggestions

- If you are using very thick juice (high VG) try lower VG juice or thin your juice a bit with a couple of drops of distilled water

- There should be fiber wick on/in the bridge /\ of your atomizer and that is what brings the juice from the cartridge stuffing to the atomizer coil down under the bridge. If that fiber wick has a problem or was accidentally removed then it will not wick the juice to the coil

- if the wick is fine, your cartridge stuffing may not be contacting it well. Make sure the cartridge stuffing is fluffed up and not compressed down in the cup

- If they are normal size 510 cartridges (fit a 9.2mm atomizer) then try replacing the stuffing with precut blue foam stuffing from strictlyejuice.com

- Even under the best circumstances, cartridges need frequent topping off with eliquid and rarely will empty themselves completely by vaping

- Most only use cartridges to learn to vape and find juices they like and then switch to cartomizers for everyday vaping. most cartomizer though work best with thin juices. I use 80PG/20VG though 30% will work. The worst thing for cartos and atomizers is dark, opaque or cloudy juices that drop a bunch of flavoring sediment. Those will clock up carto stuffing and atomizer wicks and bake into the coil.

A couple of things. Sometimes the filler material in the cartridge becomes hardened on the end from the heat of the atomizer. That prevents the juice from flowing to the atty efficiently.

As was suggested in a previous post, pull that filler out of the cartridge and rinse it out. Dry it very well by blotting it on a paper towel and let it air dry for an hour or so.

Then, either trim the hardened part off the filler, ever so slightly, or reverse it so that the softer, more absorbent part is facing the atty.

Make sure that the filler material is not compacted so that it can come in contact with the atty bridge. Just have the filler barely below the top of the cartridge.

Also, top off the cartridge a little more often. The filler should look slushy, but the liquid shouldn't pool. I am a heavy vapor and when I used attys I had to drop in 6 or 7 drops every hour or so.

The suggestion for blue foam is also excellent advice. I found that the foam lasted longer and allowed for a better juice flow than the polyfil that comes with the cartridge.

I am also going to recommend that you try some cartomizers. Just get a good brand. Boge is probably the best bet. You can get 5 cartomizers for the price of one atty, and shipping is free here:
