eGo batteries quit working doing a dry burn

Hi I need some help, I had two eGo batteries quit working when I tried to dry burn some atty's, have done this before with no problem. The weird thing is the lights still work but they don't heat and won't charge. one is a 650 mAh and one is a 900 mAh. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds the problem might be the atty... Mmmmmm... Otherwise: dunno....

was 2 different atty's , took them to our vape Meet last night and no one had any idea how to fix it but I won a mod so I am ok

Lisa sounds like the board (or more likely the MOSFET on the board) is gone. The light will still work but it won't charge or fire an atty, this is a typical failure mode. Was the atty a LR?

Ohm out the atty I bet it is lower than 1.5 when you get a reading

they were both reg atty's and had dry burned them before without any problem

Understood but if the dry burn created a short in one of the atty's then a fried board is the outcome. It can and does happen. I always use a PT hooked to a wall charger to do a dry burn then ohm out the atty prior to using it on a eGo or MOD. Sorry to hear about the dead batts.

awww ok, thanks for the answer, at least it happened at a time when I happened to win a knew pv the same day. Oh well was a lessened learned. I had a great day and didn't let it get me down.

Great way to look at it! I always consider the eGo batts expendable since they a relatively cheap and easy to get. I try to keep six on hand at all times since I still use them when out and about or when travelling. I would hate to loose a $100+ MOD if some airport personel decided they could not be brought on a plane!

Yes I still have one eGo batt and an Inferno P/T and now this cute little mod and hope to be getting a GLV -2 in a few weeks. I was just hoping to give a couple of eGo batts to a friend that just started vaping but I gave her a 1000 mAh Inferno, so she should be good til she can buy some back ups of her own.

Awefully nice of you to hand out the 1000 mah. I usely lend out standard size 510's so people can try it.
