eGo Battery case getting hot

Hi everyone. I just noticed tonight that the bottom of one of my eGo batteries is getting hot when I use it and there is almost no vapor production. It seems to only get hot when an atomizer is attached. I am guessing there is a short in the case and my battery is toast.

It is only 5 days from being 2 months old and is past the 30 day warranty.

Does anyone know the best way to take an eGo apart? I would like to try and use the 510 connector on it to make a mod.

If you bought a true Janty eGo, it has a 6 month warranty.

Check the batt terminal for debris and/or clean the terminal w/ a qtip an alcohol. Sounds like w/ happened to my batt.

I would toss it... the heat may mean that one of the cells is venting into the tube...

Ok... then the one cell is leaking and it needs to be tossed. Same thing.

I contacted the vendor I bought it from and they replaced it.

So I would like to give a shout out to GoodProphets.com Your View into the World of Vaping... for excellent customer service. I sent Rob an email asking for it to be replaced under warranty only to realize their warranty was only 30 days. I sent him another email a couple minutes after the first one explaining that I realized it was out of warranty and sorry for the trouble. Rob offered to replace it anyway and even sent me a self addressed padded envelope to sent the bad one back in.
