ego battery issue

I have an issue with one of my ego batterys. When I push the button the LED lights up but the carto didn't heat up. I checked with a meter and it showes 0 output. Does this meam that the ckt. bd. inside is toast? Can this be repaired?

Board is shot. Check your charger, atty or carto that caused the issue and do not use it on another ego batt. Sorry they can't be repaired

can the battery be salvaged for a mod? What kind of battery is in there?

Sure and the button and connector too. Lithuim Ion batt on board. mod away.

Some people use a small pipe cutter just below the silver connector. You can also use a Dremel. I do like the dremel option since, you know the whole power versus hand tool thing!

First make sure the center post on the battery has not gotten pushed in further than it should be. If that happened you can lightly pry it back up so that it makes contact with your atty.

Also make sure there's no crud in the battery or atomizer threads that's stopping it from screwing down all the way.
I've had a few 510 atty's that just wouldn't connect due to poorly cut threads, working them on a spare battery connector fixed them.

The battery connectors on the eGo's/Riva's etc are only press fit in, no need to cut. Just secure the battery connector end in a vice or something with protected jaws so you don't mark the finish, and pull it out
