My apologies if this is somewhere else, I only went thru 5 pages.

I have 5 eGo knockoffs, 900mah, 1100mah and 3-1300mah.

Here's the kicker, at best, 5.5 hrs of charge. Now understand, I'm a chain vaper. If I'm awake, I'm vaping!

As I understand it, the 1300mah are supposed to be like 10-12 hrs charge. Is that just sitting there or actual use?

By the end of the day, 4 out of 5 are on chargers, some being charged for the 2nd time that day. Do I need to consider a mod with a battery with longer life? I really love my eGo's, they're small, easily handled, light weight, etc, they come in all colors and I like that. I've no interest in buying something else, but I really want something that will last longer.

Any suggestions or opinions would be appreciated.

5.5 hours on a 1300mAh batt isn't good. Heavy vaping can cut the time down but it wouldn't seem that much. And many mAh claims are inflated. They're also inflated on mod batteries but a 3200mAh should get you through the day at the rate you vape.

But, IF you really like the size and style of eGo (why I've stayed with the eGo) - I'd suggest just buying more of them. You might find the Joye batteries may do better than the knockoffs - their whole life is by reports here and in my own experience is better than the knockoffs and even the Visions.

I have 1100 joytech brand(namebrand not knock off) one will last me all day. I have a friend that insists on knock offs as they don't hold a charge long. save yourself headaches and cash in the long run and get brand name

Joye only makes the 650, 900 and the 1000mAh batts. So if it's Joye, it should be the 1000. If it's labeled as, or labeled on the box as "1100", it isn't a Joye. No Joye 1300's either. You're right about 'in the long run', imo.

+Above. Knockoffs will tend to use cheap batteries that are rated higher than they actually perform--particularly in an e-cig, which is a pretty demanding application.

Age and number of charges performed will also reduce the battery capacity. It's only a little at first, but does build after 300 full charges or so to the point where battery life is somewhat reduced. Partial charges are better--charging by half, you can more than double the battery lifespan. But that's annoying.

At the moment, I have three (Volt X2 Passthrough) batteries in daily service. One is quite old, only has about 2 hours of total charge left, and remains at my desk on its passthrough charger. It just doesn't have the life any longer to walk away with it for any length of time.

It's also about to get replaced because, even used as a passthrough, I drain the battery in five hours or less. However, I can't argue much when it lasted more than a year of extremely heavy use.

Thanks ya'll! I apologize for not getting back sooner, but it's been crazy 'round here!

The way I see it, whether a knock off or a name brand, doesn't make much difference. Paying a third the cost for the knock off, it ends up being the same amount of money. 3 knock offs = 1 name brand. It's just a PITA that they have to be charged so often.

As for the mod, I'm shopping. With things going like they are and the possibility of not being able to get the eGo's, we can always get batteries to put in a mod. They are used for too many things, they can't outlaw the batteries the way they could the e-cigs. I'd still like to have a few eGo's for being on the move, but at home, a mod would work fine.

I did have a VV non-battery, passthru, that I liked, but it shorted out in a month. The cord isn't knotted in the inside and it pulls loose, or so I saw in a review.

Either way, I'm still not smoking and very happy with the 'quit'.:toast:

GRRRRRRRR! I just missed a serious deal on an Innokin MVP 2.0. Jumped too late and the 25% off coupon isn't any good. Never fails.:(

Right now, I'm snowed/iced in with the power flickering occasionally. Good thing I have 5 eGo's and keep them charged in case the power goes out for a length of time.

Thanks ya'll I appreciate the input. Much love!
