I have searched the forum and found out that the EGO batteries only last about 3-6 months or limited to 300 recharges then the battery will go bad.

My set up is quite simple: EGO-T battery + BOGE LR 2.0, and yes I do vape a lot.

And here are my questions:
1) When the battery goes bad, will be having a bad vape such as dry hits, or burning tastes?
2) Where can I get replacements of EGO battery for the cheapest? Can some one recommend me a site? Thanks!

The battery life of +/- 300 recharges is an estimate, some get more some less.
When the battery is at the end of it's useful life it won't do anything when you push the button or wont hold a charge very long or won't charge.
The battery has nothing to do with dry hits or burning taste unless it is VV and you're using too many V's for the resistance of the delivery device.

Cheapest replacements will be from one of the various China based companies.

When the battery goes bad it usually just stops working or holds a diminished charge.

You can get replacements on fasttech.com relatively cheaply. They have some nice high capacity, mini and variable voltage ego batteries at really good prices.

It's good to order a few so that you have a couple back ups.

Yeah FastTech is pretty cheap and expect a long wait. You'll pay more for the higher 1300 mAh. The higher the mAh the longer they take to charge but the longer you can vape from them before you have to recharge. I'd suggest getting 2 more. Put 1 in a drawer for safe keeping. Then rotate 2 of them...i.e. charge one when vaping off of the other...and then switch when you need to recharge the other. The one you put in a drawer just keep in case the other 2 go dead at near the same time. Will give you plenty of time to reorder when needed.

Most starter kits come with 2 batteries. I also recently got a usb pass through so that when I'm sitting in office or near a computer I'm not wasting my ~300 recharge cycles.

Li Ion batteries have a unique charging profile...actually fully discharging them then fully charging them shortens charging cycles...partial discharge and recharge lengthens recharge cycles...

USB bypass..."battery....battery?!? we don't need no steenkin' battery!"

Coincidentally I have 4 of these...I use them MORE than my regular rigs...I work in a cubicle so I use it at work, and the commute...just got a cigarette lighter USB charger and I vape in my vehicle, only thing is with the 5vdc USB unregulated one..you need to rock 2.8Ω heads or higher because they do get hot pretty fast

I have 2 Twists. Both for about 50 days.
1 works great
1 only lasts an hour or 2 on a full charge.
Maddening!

I have treated them both the same.

Same here. My starter kit came with 2 and noticed the same thing. I think at first I used them equally. I've since used a knife and marked one with / and the other with \ just so I could tell the difference. The one with \ definitely doesn't last as long. I guess I marked them just so I knew I wasn't going out of my mind.

If you do go with Fasttech, read the reviews, Fasttech posts both good and bad reviews. Some clones are pretty good, others aren't worth the postage to mail them. This applies to pretty much anything ecig related.

Also be prepared to wait, I only ordered twice from Fasttech and both times it was 8 days, others have reported waiting weeks.

Am I right in guessing that the eGo batteries (specifically from Fasttech) are lithium?
All I really wanted were needle tip bottles. Foolishly ordered a couple twists for back-ups and it's sitting in Hong Kong for almost a month.

I think they are all lithium-ion which is slightly different battery chemistry than the lithium. From my understanding the ego batteries shouldn't hold up your order. It's the juice and the unenclosed lithium batteries (the ones that look like double A's that go in mods, camera's, etc.) that is in violation of air mail. Also apparently every package in Hong Kong needs to go through an x-ray machine so that is slowing down all shipments regardless of what is contained in the package.

Only order from them if you have time to wait. The are very cheap. My last two orders one took 2 weeks and 1 took a little under a month. If you are in no hurry like myself it's worth the wait for cheap prices and free shipping.

Thanks Mohamed. I have ordered from them before but it's never taken this long, no liquids ever. Just getting a little too close to the paypal dispute cutoff since it was over a week before it even made it to HK. I should have known better, my last order was...difficult. But I do like those cheap needle tip bottles. lol

I believe they are pretty reputable company and will refund your order if they can't deliver...let me take time to go find their quote on the subject. Well I couldn't find it quickly but somewhere they had posted that they would refund all orders that could not be delivered. There's a really long thread in general discussion about fasttech and recent delays due to holiday, li-ion batteries, ejuice deliveries. Worst case scenario it get's returned to them by port and the refund you the money or they have to send it by ship...literally a ship and that could take 2 months ;)

I've made a third order with them today. I don't expect to see it for a month or two but that is my mind set when ordering from overseas. Many, many, many people have ordered from fasttech on this forum. Just have a look at http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...30819-fasttech-thread-all-fasttech-posts.html . They are reputable company just slow because of china and half of it isn't there fault it's the postal system and restrictions of airmail with batteries, "perfume products", and xray system that every package has to go through.

IMO that's big BS.
I have two Ego-T 650 mAh batteries (original Joytech) that i own now for about more than five years and i've always treated them well and they still work well.
Just clean the connectors regularly and they'll last long.

WOW 5 years? I bought the ego-c twist from HHV and HHV-eGo they lasted only a few months...

Where did you get yours?

Mine might be knock-offs..but they're $30 give or take, forgot.
