Hello all. About 5 weeks ago I purchased a joye ego battery to replace or supplement my existing mini ciggarette looking batteries. About the same time I began ordering Todd's wonderful line of vaperite tobacco extract juices.

What I have noticed, is that the ego is making all the juices taste burnt - If I switch the atomizer/drip tip rig on the ego over to a standard 510 battery, within 6 puffs and an xtra drip, it's tasting great, back over to the ego, within 3 puffs, back to crap burnt.

The ego burnt out a low res atty in 36 hrs. It made one of my atomizers go ape crap and get severly hot- it's actually kinda funny to watch it burn, but juices are done on it.

There was a guy who put up a thread about voltage to a bunch of different batteries. The ego had the lowest output at only 3.0 real volts, but mine seems to be tasting like it's running at 6 or more. The battery also lasts only about 3 hrs of heavy vaping, and the button had a tendency to get stuck on.

Has anyone else had weird experiences with their ego that might be of help?? I bought it at a trader's market and it has a 90 day warranty, so I certainly will return it. But I'd like to know if I'm just getting into more probs replacing it, or if this thing really has some sort of standard goofy problem everyone knows about.

Thanks so much in advance!

i've killed a few batteries with 1.8 ohm cartomizers. They don't just go dead, they'll charge, but you can't activate them, or they just keep blinking and don't stop. These were new batteries. Never had an eGo battery that didn't work fine with a standard 510 atomizer. No burned taste either. The ejuices vary quite a bit, and how you vape them matters. I know with a 1.8 ohm cartomizer I get the best flavor and vapor production by far. I just make sure to use my Precise or other mechanical switch device with them. My favorite battery is the AW 18650 2600Mah with the 1.8 ohm.
