This just started happening. Every time I attach the standard cone and atty to my ego-c batt (which is fully charged) it blinks blue and turns off, and wont come back on. As soon as I unscrew it, it comes back on. This happens to both batts, but only with one of the cones. I am lacking the proper terminology, but am only using what came with my kit. Please help me out. Is there something wrong with the metal connector that the atty sits on? Possibly it is pressing too hard on the batt? It still happens if not fully screwed down. Im at my wits end over here and cannot get a good vape goin..

I don't have the cone with my ego but I'm wondering if you have a short in the atty or possible the battery? Have you tried other attys or carts?
You can also try getting some isopropyl alcohol and with a cotton swab, swab off the the battery connection.
let me know, ill be up for hours and have a few other tips but not sure if you only have one atomizer

I keep all my gear incredibly clean, esp the attys. When i switch to the other cone and base (looked up the terms), the batts seem to work fine. I think it may be the base thats causing the problem. I just noticed that it the cartridge us not fully pressed in, if i leave a 1/2 a mm gap then the batt wont turn off... still not sure how to fix this.

any ideas on fixing the base?

i never had an issue with the base, when i had a problem with mine (ego c) i had just cleaned it, and the base had water still in it( i should have let it dry over night) it caused the batt to shut down due to moisture i blew the base out reconnected everything and it worked. the second time the batt shut down on me it was the atty itself was shorting due to the wire from the coil finally given out. soooooo maybe try putting the cart in the cone all the way first then put the atty in the cone then screw the base on. as far as i can tell i dont think there is a way to adjust the atty base, you can however try gentle pushiing thecenter prong in the base down a little, that may cause leaking though...

If you have a meter you can test the resistance on the atomizer to see if it has a short. The ego batteries typically shut down at 1.0 ohms or less.

I'd assume it is a short and stop using it before it blows the circuitry in the battery and ruins it.

Call the vendor if it is new. Perhaps they will replace it. It happens with atomizers though sometimes
