Ego-C Cartridges - Clearomizers

Hello,

I recently purchased a joyetech Ego-C upgrade battery. I am not fond of the 3 piece cartridges that the battery is actually designed for. It's too much of a headache. I tried to use some cheap CE4's and one died and the other 2 have horrible airflow which makes them a pain to use.

Are there any suggestions on some good cartridges or clearomizers that aren't too expensive which have some decent airflow?

I don't care if they are cheap, or just regular cartridges or anything. I am looking for a cheap practical piece that is easy to use on the go or while I'm out at work.

Thanks for any help and suggestions

Another vote here for the Kanger EVOD. They're easy to use, take a good amount of abuse for out and about and the coils are easy to find/clean and not expensive.

Some prefer the Innokin iClear 16. I don't care for the top coil and don't have any myself, but they seem to be about the same price range ($5-6 full price for authentic, sometimes you can catch a sale).

Here's where I buy mine, good prices and quick service. Use the "ECF" coupon code for 10% discount:

Thanks for all the suggestions! I ordered a TECC EVOD from Totally Wicked and I'll give that a try. I'll keep the Innokin and EVOD 2 in the back of my mind for my future orders. Pretty sure my wife would try to collect my life insurance if I spent any more money this month

We have TECC in the UK, it's very expensive...(sometimes beyond the pale....)

I buy mini Protanks (v.1) and Kanger T3S clearomisers for my eGo batteries. I can assure you that the dual coil Evods and T3Ds will be disappointing on a non-VV battery.

At the plastic department T3 worked nice (when i wasn't chewing their tips).
However if you want to go cheep you should consider buying a good steel/pyrex tank once and learn to rebuild your own coils, because replacing those heads all the time is what really makes it expensive.

Isn't making/putting cotton wool microcoils IN a T3S as cheap as it gets.

Not that I would know about that.... much... :)

I couldn't find anything on the Totally Wicked site about if the TECC Evod I bought was single or dual coil. However, this might be stupid question and show how new I am, but what is the difference between the single and dual? Also Why would a dual not work very well on and Ego C?

I'm working on making up a mech mod so I'm not too worried if the tanks I bought will be used, but I am curious about using them specifically on my EGO since that's where I'm at currently.

The Ego C has an option that I can switch it from a static 3.3v to a "variable" which is whatever the battery charge is at. I mean a physical test will tell when I get it, but would that be a better option for this tank? I usually keep it on the static 3.3 just to keep an even vape.

Thanks

Can't be sure cos i wasn't rebuilding my coils back then why i was using T3s, but as far as i remember it's a bit of a problem dismantling those T3 heads then putting them back together (could be wrong here).

At the moment i don't think an old PT2 costs much more then T3, but on the other hand it will last much longer and is easy to rebuild, and PT1.5 works just as well as PT2 if you can still find someone that sells them.

Oh, so your battery can switch from regulated 3.3v to unregulated mode, where it powers *at* the battery power.

This means it starts at 4.2v and drops to a set voltage before it refusing to fire your atomizer.

I had one battery that did this... it's very hard to get a satisfactory vape on it. At first it's too powerful (for a 1.8ohm atomizer) and then towards the end too weak. Better with 2.2ohm or 2.5ohm clearomisers. At least you can get vaping to start with, without burning.

Unless it says so, presume a plain "evod" is single coil, as that was what the evod was.

A dual coil on a 3.3v battery is not great. Even on a 3.7v it quite bad. The dual coils need 20% more power (volts/watts) to match the vapour of a single coil. People say "x" watts is "x" watts, but a dual coil uses two coils and they just don't get going with regular power.
(I don't understand the phenomenon...but it exists with Kanger dual coils)

I agree. A PT2 is a better tank overall. There is no difference in the re-building - they're almost identical.

I have 3 x T3S , 1 x PT1 (terrible) and 1 x PT2 with airflow (better)... they all get the same rebuild.

I'm doing well with the Kanger Evod for my eGo batteries. It holds more liquid than the Tornado cartridges that I started with and they fit my budget: $7 on average, and replacement atomizers for $2.

Thanks for the suggestion. My TECC Evod arrived today. It is SO much better than the cheap CE4s I use. The airflow is great. In fact I wish there was a way to lower the air intake just slightly. I guess my next purchase will be a variable control air intake tank.

The TECC Evod came with a 2.2 ohm (according to Totally WIcked - I haven't tested it yet, my 9volt died in my multi meter and havent replaced it yet). I bought a 1.8 ohm atomizer. Will it be worth it to replace the 1.8 ohm for the 2.2 ohm with my Ego-C upgrade battery (3.3V) ?

THanks

Ok, So... I put in the 1.8 atomizer with my Ego-C and it seems to be working much better so far with the juices I use.

Is there a way to actually clean the atomizers I took out of the Evods to store them for later use, or will they be ok sitting for a while with the juice still in them?

I'm posting this just in case someone else comes across this and is looking for an opinion like I was. I went to my local shop today and bought an actual Kanger Evod. I also bought the 1.8 ohm coil to replace the stock atomizer.

Wow, what a difference between the TECC Evod and the Kanger Evod. Don't get me wrong, I'm not disappointed with the TECC at all, but there is a noticable difference, for me, between the Kanger, and the TECC.
