I've never seen anything on any potentially dangerous chemical material resulting from dry burns - which doesn't mean there isn't any but I haven't had much luck with dry burning eGo-c's or t's. I've burnout out a few t's so I haven't dry burned any of the c's since they're similarly constructed. I have good results using a high proof vodka soak which dissolves the gunk on the coil and the fluff of the wicking. There is usually some residue in the pot that I wipe out with a small Qtip like 'mop' - I think it was from some makeup kit :) it's narrow enough to get in there.

There is the safety thing on isopropyl but if you rinse well enough that should work but I still recommend the vodka because it's a consummable even though I don't drink it :) It dries quickly and no water rinse is necessary. I've only lost one c atty head since October - it was an LR. The SR types have done well so far.
