Hello everybody,
I'm looking to replace my eGo-C.

It just seems very inconsistent for me, sometimes I get a harsh vape. Yes, I prime it before, in every which way possible and it doesn't seem like any one method does it consistently for a smooth vape.
I also read that VG liquids on eGo-C doesn't vape well, so it limits my choices in liquids.

Any recommendations for a new e-cig that might improve my experience?

fiddlefaddle,
I think you might be confusing your battery with your delivery device.

Ego C is just the battery. You can't "prime" a battery. The battery is just what you put your deivery device on. The battery supplies the "power" to make the coils heat up on your delivery device, i.e, clearomizer, cartomizer, etc.

So what are you using ON TOP of your Ego C battery? :) That is your delivery device, i.e. the thing you put ejuice into.

Sounds like you are using some kind of clearomizer........can you tell us what kind or put up a photo or something?

There are clearomizers that handle VG a little better that people can help you with.

Oh yeah, definitely you have cheaper options than completely changing out your batteries. I would try out a few good clearomizers. There are a million. Kanger's evod and protank are the koolaid everyone on here has been drinking lately. The Vision Vivi Novas are my personal favorite.

While you are waiting for your clearo's, have you tried cleaning out your atomizers? I would say try dripping a few drops directly onto your atomizer and vaping (basically 'dripping'), except I'm not sure if that works with actual ego type atomizers.

100% VG doesn't do well in anything that has a wick so you need to think it a bit, be that with PG or distilled water, if you don't want any PG.

100% PG is also touchy in wick devices - it wicks too well, and can easily cause flooding, vape gently if you have 100% PG as I often do in both clearomizers and protanks.

Fiddlefaddle - first of all - welcome to the forum.

My personal suggestion for you to go from the cartridge & separate atomizer system you are currently using is to get one of the many clearomizers that are available.

My personal preference (everybody has at least one :D) is the Kanger T3S. You can get one w/5 replaceable heads/coils for under $15. This clearomizer will screw directly onto the battery that you are currently using. I have not had any experience using this particular clearomizer with 100% VG so maybe someone else will chime in. You may still have to thin it with VG or distilled water as someone else had suggested. You might also want to consider using a VG/PG blend.

I have been using the T3S for several months and, to me, they are the best thing since sliced bread. Easy to fill, 2.4 ml tank, easy to clean, no leaks and still small enough for shirt pocket carry.

I included a link to one of the suppliers that sell the T3S and T3S heads. This particular supplier has a 10% discount for ECF members.

PS - I am not necessarily endorsing evcigarettes.com, but I have had good luck with them in the past - please do your own shopping.

Good luck
