I bought the ego-c starter kit, and have been using it with decent overall success except for the odd leakage. I've been trying to learn as much as possible over the last week, and with that came some issues, most of which have been resolved. I believe that I'm currently using ce-4 clearomizers? Still trying to learn all the lingo and terms.

Anyways, I was wondering how one would know which atomizers/cartomizers/clear/tanks etc work with my battery? I'd like to upgrade in order to move away from the leakage here and there (who loves a splash of e-juice in their mouth?).. But I'm having difficulties digging up information as to which one(s) are compatible with my setup. For example, I've read favorable reviews on the Kanger protank, how would I determine if it's compatible? (please don't just say yes or no, if possible, an explanation as to why would be well appreciated to help me continue to learn)

Thank you

Be sure and read the description of any accessory you buy. You'll notice that many will say "eGo/510 compatible". If you are using the eGo-CE4 set up now then anything compatible with eGo should work. If you look at your battery you'll see it has 2 sets of threads. The outer set, just above the battery button, is the eGo threading and the smaller, inner set is the 510 threading. I believe the Protank uses the 510 threads.

I'm new to all this too but I think this is accurate. I'm sure someone will clear things up if I'm mistaken.

All the CE series fits the eGo-c battery with a 510 connectoin. Not all have the eGo-skirt (cone threading):

Kanger's T2, T3, Baby T3, MT3, Evod and protank all fit the eGo-c and all but the Protank are the same diameter as the batt:

T2 -also known as the CC Carto (coil changeable carto) top coil and wicking, 2.4ml capacity, replaceable coil. Problems with the removeable mouthpiece - top coil/wicking can get dry hits.

T3 - also known as the Tabac BCC (bottom coil changeable) - bottom coil and wicking, 3ml capacity, replaceable bottom coil. Mouthpiece fixed, bottom coil/wicking fixed the dry hits of the T2. Replaceable coils in 1.5, 1.8, 2.2 and 2.4-6 ohms. My favoite for no leaks with 1.8ohm for stronger flavors, 2.2ohm for lighter flavors... the 2.4-2.6ohm is too light. Good Prophets and heaven gifts sells them With the 1.8Ω coil. Others have the 2.6ohm coil oem.

Baby T3 - mini T3, same as T3 except 1.7ml capacity - nice match for an eGo mini 340-450mAh batt.

MT3- same as T3 with a metal skin (not a metal tank) purely cosmetic and heavier than the T3.

Evod - Small MT3-like, metal skin, 1.5ml capacity - I've gotten leaks and gurgling with the three I have.

Protank is "top heavy" - diameter bigger than eGo, bottom replaceable coil and wicking, less capacity than the T3 at 2.5ml, glass tank (a 'plus' for some), needs an adapter to cover the threading - ie. no 'skirt':

Looks better on bigger tube mods, imo:

That was very educational.
You're like the Bill Nye of the vaping world!
I didn't know half of that stuff.

Glad I could help! ;)

Groundhog Day

Rita: Is this some kind of trick?
Phil: Maybe the real God uses tricks. Maybe He's not omnipotent. He's just been around so long, He knows everything.

Truth, this.

This is the BEST photo tutorial of clearos on ECF. And if you want to know *anything* about egos, and I mean any kind of ego batts, then again, this is the bill nye of all things ego. :)
