Got my Ego C kit almost 2 weeks ago and voila.....I haven't picked up a ciggy.....I haven't picked one up because I don't want one. I would rather vape. My son tried it out and ordered his kit, should be in the mail today, and the wife has been nosing around. She has been using it the last few days and today she is smoke free so far. She has not jumped into it with both feet such as I have, but she mentioned how amazed she is with not smoking. One problem she has is leakage. I have had some but take the unit apart and clean it and set it back up again. With her reluctance to jump into the workings it is causing her some distress. So, now on to the $10,000 question...and I realize the answers are going to be as dfferent as users, but let me dumb it down, so I will be able to understand it. What EASY options and the least finicky answer to this problem. Thanks in advance. Suggestions accompanied by links to the exact item will incur bonus points.:oops:

I've never used the ego tank, but I have used the Kanger T3 clearo and loooove it. (well, that's until I dropped it and it broke). I never had a problem with leaks. I've used the ViVi Nova and it leaked all over. I've also used the Texas Tank, but I'm still getting used to using it correctly -I'm having issues with the priming of the carto.

Anyway....back to your question, I would get her a Kanger T3 and an ego battery. And the Kangers are easy to fill, they are bottom coil and fill from the bottom too. I got mine from Mt Baker- Kanger T3 Rebuildable Clearomizer - Mt Baker Vapor - Electronic Cigarettes Also, I'm a dork and like to color coordinate with my ego battery :)

I have used the eGo-c tanks/attys successfully. They tend to leak when the tank gets to about 1/4 full - so if you refill it then you'll have less problems. But I agree with yankgirl - the T-3 is the least finicky - make sure that the silicone rings are in place when you refill and be sure to tighten the tank on well.

eGo 3ml Tabac BCC (Bottom Coil Changeable) Clearomizer

they come with a 1.8Ω coil and I suggest getting a 2.2 coil replacement. Some lighter ejuices do better with the 2.2Ω coil.

Also available in 5 piece sets at heaven gifts although they're out of coils right now...

I don't have personal experience but I saw recently that "soft end caps" for the ego c tanks were helpful in reducing leaking. Soft Cap for Ego-Tank Cartridge - 10/Pack ,https://www.cignot.com/product_p/egt-sil-cpb.htm

I think there was a video about it, not sure.
Is she filling and/or inserting the tanks herself or is she getting leakage with tanks that you had already set up on the battery?

I second Kent's answer regarding the tank fill level being the first and most likely cause of leaking, particularly on thinner juices. When I'm using an eGo-c tank I try to top it off pretty regularly to avoid leaks.

I've also had problems with the (what I think are the) original ego-C tanks. They came with the hole not open in the bottom of the tank and when you first inserted the tank the spike on the atomizer cut the hole open. Caused all kinds of problems. Depending on who you order from, how old there stock is etc. you can still see some of these floating around.

The tank should fit tightly on the spike and I've caught myself not fully inserting the tank until I became aware of that. Leaving a small gap between the lip on the tank and the edge of the cone, not fully seating the tank, could cause leaking too.

IMO the greatest thing about the eGo-C factory setup is the ability to try small quantities of juice in an easily washable tank that is going to give you a quality vape and clear read on the flavor.

Once you find yourself vaping a few juices consistently you might want to try a clearo setup and I also concur that the T3 is a good choice (among others) and because it's a bottom coil setup will give you a cooler vape like the ego-C tank setup does.

Another option would be to try a cartomizer .

With or without a cone (it's more a cover than anything else.

SMOKTECH cartomizer : electronic cigarettes, e liquid & e cigarette accessories, by kingpin e cigs

This is what I went with when I became frustrated with the C tanks.
