Ego C taste like new Atomizer Head smells? normal?

Hey im new to all this, trying to quit smoking analogs..Anyways i bought an Ego c starter kit and T2 (Kanger) 2.4ml CC Clearomizer, when i set it all up it tasted funny, so i went to set up the other battery and noticed the new atomizer smelled what i tasted, then tried the clearmomizer and still had that same taste.. Am i doing something wrong? oh i also tried 2 different juices and it still had that taste.??????????????? just wanna quit smoking so any help to get me on this vaping thing is most appreciated. thanx

Sounds like wicking issues. Let it sit for a few minutes and make sure there's nothing impeding the wicks. Also, I'd recommend starting with a standard cartomizer or even a tank- easier to keep cotton wet. Don't give up!

when i open the new atomizer and smell it thats what every vape tastes like no matter what flavour juice i use, i even get the same taste with the T2, i can taste the flavour of the ejuice but not as much as that taste i said i smelled... normal? what do i do cause thats a huge downer...

its either you have a bad batch of juice or you're burning it with too much voltage, just get a stardust or a boge carto and you'll be fine!

Sorry if i sound ignorant but i just spent 190$ on this setup, I dont care to buy something else, has anyone ever smelled the atomizer heads fresh out of the package? thats the taste i get, even with the T2 clearo...

Saying it is the juice does anybody know of any good suppliers in Canada? im not ordering from the states due to customs.. I swapped out juices and went to watermellon and i think it was the juice, although i did taste what i smelled in the new head, maybe it just stuck to my senses lmao. I was using players flavour and it taste like crap. The supplier i went to didnt have a huge selection. Thanx ppl

Im a nub, but I find that blowing out a new atomizer, then dabbing it well with paper towels, then putting it in place and dripping 3 drops of my juice on it and letting the juice soak in, and then vapping really helps. If I get a funky hit after that, I twist my tank about to kind of re-seat it and make sure the juices are flowing.

As far as juices go - I can't recommend a supplier, but I can say that I know have a stock of about 15 e-liquids. Out of those I really like only 2-3. Around 8 of them are ok - I don't hate them but I'm not real excited about them. And a few I really don't care for and plan to put them in my hubbys kit. So I think you need to try a lot of samples to figure out what you like.

Sounds like the idea, thanx and ill try that on the next one, I started using the clearo with another juice and its not bad, so ive come to the conclusion its the heads and the juice.. Hey how do i set up email notifications? i cant seem to get them.. thanx

Some atomizers, I can't remember the EGO ones specifically, have some primer on them. While not harmful it tastes kind of bad. The taste goes away quite quickly. As Seawolfe suggested you can rinse before using, it does help.

Clearomizers kind of fall into the same boat. A new coil takes a little break in time and you will notice that the flavor changes and smooths out. Until the new wires in a coil break in correctly the taste can be a little off.

Ok, all of that being said, if the weird taste you are describing tastes burned or charred then it's a different problem. You aren't getting enough juice. Let the clearomizer setup for a few minutes and let the wicks start flowing juice before vaping it.

I gave up that very day on those attys, I ordered the Ego C starter kit also with 1 T2 Kanger Clearo because i read try both, the bad taste did go away but the carts leaked bad, i set up 1 batt with an atty and 1 with the T2, soon as the T2 was broken in i convinced myself i made a mistake buying the kit, ended up passing those batts to the wife and reordering 2 Twists and 5 more T2's. Wifes happy and so am i.....I jumped onto the vaping train to quit smoking analogs but now how am i gunna quit vaping lmao, idk if i am!!! Thank you to all the ppl who responded trying to help. Cheers
