Hey fellow vapers,
I'm so desperate and my experience with vaping, tastewise, right now is worse then smoking.
When I smoke a real cigarette I don't have any issues with my taste buds or sense of smell.
I smoked a lot of cigarettes today and instead of that I should have been vaping but I have a huge problem.
If anyone can fix my problem I'm gonna send 1 of my (un-used) joyetech eGO-C Twist to that person as a gift. (This is for my gratitude if it's against the forum rules I can remove this sentence by editing) (I will pay the shipping too, I live in Canada) My vendors couldn't help me much. So I'm asking you vaper friends.
My equipment:
PowerTube Lambo (with silver colour power on button)
2 Joyetech eGO-C Twist
Kanger T3 (bunch of them)
Kanger MT3 (bunch of them)
Kanger T2 (a few of them)
Disposible Atomizer Cartomizers
Prepunched Cartomizers with DCT tank (I dont have it anymore but i used it)

1-I used prepunched cartomizers with DCT tank. I flooded the carto in the first attempts but finally made it work.
And had 2 days of decent vape with Lambo.
2 -I got Kanger T3s. It was awesome! I was finally vaping like a pro. No burnt taste or anything. I was exhaling the vape from my nose and there was no burning. I vaped for 2 days with no problem like a pro! Again it was on Lambo.
3- Disaster coming. I got my new replacement coil heads for the Kanger T3s in the mail. I emptied the old juice of my used
Kanger T3. Filled it with same fresh ejuice. And put the new 2.5 ohm head. Fired the Lambo at 4.0 volts. I was like 'what the hell!!!''
Tasted like burning newspapers. I tried removing the top wick, checked the batteries, checked the connections, tried new ejuice, tried another replacement head. No luck. Burnt taste and smell.
4-Then I purchased some Kanger MT3s and Kanger T2s. No luck still the same burnt taste.
5-I believed that I broke my PowerTube Lambo. And bought 2 eGO-C Twist today. I was like ok today I'm gonna be vaping my new
ejuices that I received yesterday. (70%PG vs 30%VG) I tried each one of my clearo tanks, I even tried the disposible cartomizers. All with fresh replacement heads. Fresh ejuice. (I shake the eJuice bottles before I fill in). I even tried 100% PG ejuice that I had before. I tried them all on first eGO-C Twist. Good vapor but horrible burnt taste, burnt smell and nose burning stuff. Then tried them all on Lambo again. Better vapor worse nose burning stuff. I tried at 3.0 volts and up to 3.7/4.0 volts.:facepalm::facepalm:
6-Because of the burnt smell and taste I don't even taste the ejuice. They all taste like burning newspapers.
7-Conclusion: Both Lambo and eGO-C Twist is failing me. All of those clearomizers failing me even though once they worked awesome.
I can't tell you fellow vapers how puzzled I am right now. When I smoke a cigarette as I said I have none of these problems. I'm able to smoke a cigarette with out a problem.
Please help:facepalm:

update:I tried different tobaccos. The same classic tobacco ejuice that I had success with failed me in the end.
I tried Cappucino, Mocha, Caramel Tobacco, Cuban Cigar, Smooth Canadian Tobacco, Caramel Macchiato.

Do you have a "burnt newspaper" flavored juice by any chance? :D

You didn't tell us what you were vaping!

LOL, I tried different tobaccos. The same classic tobacco ejuice that I had success with failed me in the end.

Hey, I often run light shows for rock bands and huge parties which gets me fiddling around with juice for fog machines quite a bit and fog machines are basicly the same concept as ecigs of course I also vape :D ive had this problem many times both with fog machines and e cigs thry out a couple of things:

1. try using a mixture of pg and vg about half and half added with flavour vg itself has a tendancy to overheat

2. if that doesn't work its the cartomizer or atomizer whatever you use after prolonged use the atomizer will wear out ad in some cases inconveniently soon replace the atomizer all together sometimes what happens is the filament for the atomizer makes contact with what the ejuice flows through the cotton or whatever and it burns the cotton and not the e juice hoped this helped :)

please email me with the results :) buddyjonh@gmail.com

burnt taste = burnt juice on the coils, either they got too hot or didn't get enough juice to em...probably both

how are you filling your cartomizers...dripping in the top?

There is a method they refer to as the "condom" method..search for it, I call it the "cap flood method" (aka drip a little juice in the little silicon cap that was covering the cartomizer, slide it on the 510 connector end, then push it till it seats and squishes the juice up into the cartomizer, repeat until cartomizer is full [this way it back fills from the bottom vs trying to wick thru from the top])

It definitely sounds like you're have a bad time vaping. Analogs are quick and easy but vaping takes a little practice learning how not to scorch your coils. It looks like you're fairly experienced at vaping but if you burn your coil you will get a nasty burnt taste. I've watched a lot a youtube videos and for the life of me I can't figure out how some people can take the long drags they do, so I figure they're inhaling the drag instead of dragging on it like a real analog. The inhale draw is a no go for my lungs.

Timing when to press and release the button will save your atty's from getting scorched. Press the button when you first start your drag then release it a second or so before ending the drag then inhale the vape the same as you would an analog. When you first fill a fresh tank be sure to take a few unheated drags to help wet the wick so the juice is at the coil otherwise you will scorch your coil before you even get started. You also might want to lower the voltage on your battery when you're starting a new tank and flavor. I found that not every tank and flav tastes the same at 4.0v some taste better at 3.8v and others are better at 4.2v. I have killed several atty's but cooking them at 4.8v without checking my battery when I started to vape.

As soon as I my tanks start to taste burnt it's cleaning time. Rinse the tank, wick and if your tank can be taken apart rinse the atty. Thats where the wick goes into the unit and where the coil is located. After rinsing the tank thoroughly dry everything with a tissue. I wrap my atty's in tissue to get as much water off the wick as possible. Reassemble the tank but before you fill it with juice you have to burn the coil clean (Dry Burn) otherwise it will still taste burnt. Look for youtube videos on how to clean a clearomizer like this one: How to Clean a Vision Clearomizer (Stardust) - YouTube

Of all the tanks I've bought since I started vaping in December and full time in March, I found the Kanger-tech Pro-tank and EVOD are the best for flavor and longevity. Longevity being time between cleanings. I was a smoker for 37 years and it wasn't easy to switch completely to vaping like I had hoped it would be. My quit date was March 6th and I haven't looked back at it since. If you're serious about quitting the analogs then you will need to get some spare unites and find some juices that you really like. I stocked up on bunch of tobacco flavors at first and abandoned them for fun flavors about two months after I stopped analogs completely. I discovered that I really didn't like the tobacco flavors all that much. All be it, I do vape my Virginia blend every once in a while, but I usually don't finish the tank.

Go on youtube and watch all the videos you can find on how to vape. I did that one morning because even my husband couldn't tell me or show me how to do it all. Each person sets up their own method of what works best for them.
And then as some others have said...go out and try non tobacco flavors. I tried the tobacco flavors at first then I tried this one called "Starbuckets Mocha" by Sweet Vapes and I was hooked. I started with an evod and a vision spinner it seemed to be the easiest to start out with. Once I watched about 20 videos on cleaning, setting up, and replacing parts I was ready NOW to start vaping.

That was how I started out trying to use the easiest devices and watching videos. I have been very long time smoker and thought that in one month I would be putting down the cigarettes for good next week and I have no apprehension about it.

Then when you have the knowledge and the know-how you can head to your local B&M you will be ready to try as many flavors as you like. What I learned was I just needed to think about flavors I like and go with that.

I hope this helps a little!! Once you get the hang of all this it becomes 2nd nature. So don't give up!

Hi

You didn't mention what resistance coils are going on here. From my experience this Kanger BCC stuff does not like and does not need high voltage. If you bought 1.8 ohm coils and ramp that right up to your stated 4.0 volts - yeah, harsh dry hits. If you started coil after coil at 4.0 volts and then decided to go lower the damage has already been done.

Take the coil out, pull off the vent tube and what do you see? If the coil and wick has already gone black with crud you trashed the coil and it needs a dry burn to restore it. You aren't vaping liquid at that point, you are burning residue stuck on the coil instead.

I put a new coil metering 2.0 ohms in a T3s last week. It was producing tons of vapor at a whopping... 3.2 volts. Anything more than that was unnecessary and would have driven it to harsh dry hits if I went higher. If you chronically drove the coil at too high a voltage you were drying out the wick faster than it could take up more liquid. The higher voltage can't "force" it to work, all it did was burn crud onto the coil.

Time to clean and drop the voltage.

Did you check the resistance with your Lambo that the M/T3 heads were actually 2.5? Sometimes, Kanger's replacement coils suck or are DOA. That is just the nature of the beast.

I agree with the above posters, the way you take a drag off of an APV is definitely not the way you hit a cigarette. Instead of hitting the APV really hard like you a smoke, try softly inhaling for 4-5 seconds. This can make a big difference. I use 100% Vg juice a lot of the time and if I take too hard of a drag, I start to get kind of burned hits.

Further, you should look into the Lambo 4.0. It seems like it is a hit or miss device. There are some people that have no problems and there are other people that have been having really bad problems.

Lastly, the newbies section is totally for these kinds of issues. Most of us are just bored and want to help new vapers the same way we were helped. There is no need to give away vaping gear for the advice!
