Hi Vapers
I'v recived my ego-c twist 900mah today,

but when I plug it into the charger,(ego-t usb charger output 420mah) The charger light is
Red for five seconds then flashes green for a split second .
what going on is it charging, why is it blinking?

thanks in advance

The blinking part surprises me. All of the eGo kits I've received are charged although they state they're only 70% charged. I have 2 types; the ego usb types that have the screw off cap at the end and a mini usb port for "pass-thru" charging (which show a red led light when charging and nothing when charged) and the screw in type batteries where you have to remove the atty/carto/clearo to charge and you physically screw the battery into some weird thing connected to a usb cable.

It helps to have a voltmeter here, but not necessary. If your battery requires you to screw it into the charger, it should initially show green until the battery meets the charger. Then should go red and only glow green when it's fully charged.

Try pulling your post (search YouTube) and try again. If this is the case, screw this little babies in loosely.

Yes, it is charging. When the light on the charger stays green, the battery is fully charged.
BTW, where did you get the 900mah twist?
Be aware that the 900mah "Twists" are clones and not made by joytech.
You can get them at Vaporbeast http://www.vaporbeast.com/product_p/a28.htm

That said, I have no idea if they're better, worse or equal to the real Joytech eGo-C Twist. I'm waithing for a good independent review of them.

They're on the joyetech website. I have no doubt that there are clones out there, but the fact that it's 900mAh does not automatically mean it's a fake/clone.

Joyetech eGo-C Twist XL Battery

Mentions both 900 and 1000mAh versions and has a size comparison of the 3.

You are correct.
Cignot (an official Joytech dealer) has them https://www.cignot.com/product_p/egc-tw9-all.htm

Others that I have seen, like the one I likned to above from Vaporbeast are clones. If you want the "real deal" be very careful and make sure the company selling it is selling the origional Joye product. If you don't mind a clone then have at it.

Interesting, I thought these were fakes also, I was gunna pick one up from a site but could find any info on them. Thanks for that link, now I know that they have legit 900mah ones.
If that site doesn't specify Joytech then there's a good chance they are knockoffs. I would email them and ask, or go to an official Joytech dealer.

Hey Chri. The green blink is perfectly normal. The charger is doing a self-check to see if the battery is fully charged yet. It does a quick voltage check, and if the battery is not reading at 4.1-4.2V, it switches back to red and allows power to continue to flow to the battery.

Guys...the Ego name is used on so many devices out of China it's crazy. like 100's! There are interesting videos that show the Ego Twist torn apart from Joytech and other suppliers like Lots Technology! Basically they all use Joytech batteries. The devices are identical and jotech sells to other manufacturers.

Ego is really just a thread type (the larger thread on them). Generally, ego batteries have ego threads and either 808 or 510 threads. Joyetech is just the most well know manufacturer of ego threaded devices. Their standard ego batteries like the ego-t are regulated at 3.3v whereas something like a kgo (also ego threaded) is unregulated and starts at 4.2v. It's the same with many of these products. Theres nothing wrong with clones, just make sure you deal with a reputable company who has a decent warranty (at least 3 months)

As we’ve seen with other “clones” even though some of the components are sourced from the same place, there can be variances in performance and quality.

I view a Twist clone differently than I would a non-variable voltage clone because of the added complexity. I know the Joytech eGo-C Twist has performed great for me, so before buying a clone I will wait to see good independent reviews just to make sure no shortcuts are taken.

I find it really funny that everyone thinks that a "genuine" Joyetech device somehow comes from a company NOT from China.
Go to the Joyetech website and hit the "contact" button. "I'll NEVER buy no Chinese stuff"......"I'll only buy American"..

Where the heck do you think Shenzhen is?.......Texas?

Joyetech IS a Chinese company.....!!!!

There is NOTHING wrong with that. They make a good product. But it's simply a battery.......every company in China is making them because the rest of the world wants them. They're not "knock-offs"......they're duplicates. How hard is it to make a battery with a button?

I have about a dozen eGo batteries....they all work fine. Did they come from Joyetech?.....absolutely not.

Get over the knock-off thing......there's only about 300 companies making these things....and Joyeteck is one of them. Hell, they're probably selling a "Knock off" from the original design.......
