eGo-C Twist battery won't keep a charge...

I've tried to do a bit of research on this particular battery but can't find what i'm looking for. The issue i'm having is when i plug it in the white light stays on AND the red light flashes from 1sec on red > 1/4 sec on green > red > green, is that how this is supposed to act while charging? or do i need to make sure the white light if off while on the charger? keep in mind white light on or not the red > green combo stays the same and the only time the charger ever shows a solid green light is when i remove the battery from the charger. Please if you have any ideas on how to fix my issues let me know, thanks.

How long are you charging it for? Do you have it plugged in to a wall wort (or wall plug) or connected to a laptop or other USB power source?

This sounds like normal charging behavior to me. A 1300mAh battery can take up to 8 hours to charge completely and a 650 around 4-5 hours.

The white light on the battery will sometimes only come on for the last 10% of charging or so, but in your particular case I am not sure about the battery light. I say leave it plugged in to a wall socket with the original charger you got with the device until it turns green. Don't leave it unattended for long periods and monitor it to make sure it's not getting hot.

Also cleaning the top of your battery and inside the charger tip that screws in to it is a good idea. Keeping those areas clean will mean a good connection. Getting juice in either of them can cause corrosion.

When the eGo chargers flash green, they are switching modes momentarily to check battery voltage. Red is charging and the green flash occurs as it switches to voltage reading mode. Some people never notice it and others wonder if something is wrong! It's perfectly normal operation.

Depending on the MAH rating, eGo batteries can take anywhere from an hour and a half to more than three hours to charge. The higher the MAH, the longer they take to charge and the longer you get to vape, so it's worth the extra charge time for a 1300mah eGo batt.

Thank you all for your replies. It is plugged into my laptop and is out of the box new, so no corrosion or wear and tear. I think DaveP is onto something here :).

DaveP do you know anything about the white button light turning on when i plug it in? i turn off the battery(5x click) then hook it up to the charger and the button light comes on, i found if i 5x click it the light goes off. Do you know if that means if has stopped charging or anything, or if i'm just over thinking ....? Haha, thanks again.

FT variable batteries are fine for the price..I have a few now for over a year that work great...the 5x clicks on the botton is how U change the voltage from 3.0-3.2-.3.5-.3.7-.4.0V..I agree to never use your USB port on the computer for charging, but a cheap $2 wall charger instead..also I agree with Dave P.

If you want a good ego unit, get a genuine vision spinner2. My vape store.Com sells the genuine joyetech products with scratch codes to insure your getting the real deal. They have super fast shipping and good prices. Also don't charge from your computer. It's super super slow and will take twice or longer than it should take to get a full charge. Go online to my vape store online and search vision spinner 2, it's a more modern version of the spinner. See what you think of it. Hope this helps you out. Best wishes

One more recommendation that some one else mentioned briefly. Make sure the top connector inside the battery is clean! Take a Qtip with some rubbing alcohol and run it around on the inside. I had a bad connection once from some liquid juice sitting on top. Also...make sure your inside connector hasn't been pushed down due to over-tightening. You might not get contact at all if its pushed too far down. There is a YouTube video on fixing this. (Basically using a small jewelers screwdriver and GENTLY prying it up as you move around the base.)

Both of these conditions might make you think your battery is dead when it isn't!
