I have a one week old Joy eGo-C Twist 1000 mAh that flashed several times while using it today, and seems to have died. I can't get anything out of it, even when I put it on the charger. No flashes or anything. I've tried holding the button, pressing the button 5 times quickly like you want to change the voltage, and nothing.

Is it possible it could have died already?

If yes, should I expect any kind of warranty?

Thanks.

Try gently prying up the center pin inside the 510 connector.
Sometimes a carto will push the pin too far in and make it short.
A short will make the light blink and shut down the battery.

Thank you, thank you Mr jjcordone. I got a very small pair of scissors with a very fine point, and managed to pry a little on the center contact. Bingo! The battery works again. And I was just shopping for another battery, which I now don't need to do.

Thanks again.

to prevent this from happening again just screw atty or carto in till you feel it has made contact. Same thing when putting it on charger. do not screw down and tork down hard. it will push your center pin in.

Lesson learned doots. That's probably what I did to cause the problem. Thanks.

I always tell people to LOOK AWAY while threading the toppers on

look away, when you feel it just touch - STOP, your done

not like it is ever gonna fall off and sometimes maybe another snug up is needed

glad your back in action...

Nice ! I'm glad it worked. I think we all have had this happen at one time or another.
The charger is the most like culprit.

Now for the rest of the story. Actually the culprit this time is a new T3S tank combined with my inexperience. I unpacked the tank, filled it with juice, put it on the eGo, and used it for about 30 minutes, and then it quit. I screwed it together tighter thinking the contact had been lost or something, the newbie that I am. Then the battery light flashed several times and quit. I believe that's when the over tightening occurred and resulted in both a tank and battery that wouldn't work.

The battery is fixed thanks to you guys:toast:

The tank is shot until the replacement atomizers I ordered a few days ago get here. But I have several spare tanks so am good to go.

I was totally stumped yesterday when both of these items quit working. Thanks again to the members of this board for getting me going again. One more time :toast:

Another newbie rescued from the perils of overzealous screwing! :D

You do know you can clean those Kanger coils? Rebuild them too. If you don't want to tackle it right now don't throw the used coils out - hold onto them and you can approach it when you are ready.

Haha. You got me pegged!

Yes, I did Google rebuilding and I see there's a ton of info out there on how to do it. Now that I watched a video I can pull apart the offending head to see if the coil is burned out or what. Thanks.

If it's a Joye battery, it's almost always the clearo pin that needs fixed - plus it's much cheaper to replace the clearo coil than it is if you screw up the battery center pin - that's why I always suggest checking the clearo first, but all the 'fixes' on the net are to try the battery.
