I first started with the Blu & then moved to a prosmoke cigarette sized ecigs. Neither one could get me off analogs because they are underpowered, and IMHO use a flawed design with their cartidges.

So I started researching and ended up buying an eGo-C Starter Kit last week with the upgrade 650mah batteries. Most of the time I would get a good throat hit with the eliquids I used. My only complaint was the leaking around the mouthpiece with the standard atomizer/cartomizer setup from joyetech. So after some more research, today I received my Kanger T3 Bottom Coil unit, and now I'm not getting a good TH with the same juice i've been using.

What do I need to get a good TH with this setup? Do I need to include PG in my current 100% VG mix? Turn up the voltage on my eGo twist (1000mah). Just need some direction here. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Are you getting an airy draw with the Kanger T3? I was using Stardust Clearos, and the draw was so tight it was giving me really harsh, nasty hits. I ended up having to finagle the whole device to get more airflow and was able to zero in on just the right draw for the TH I wanted. You might have to do the opposite for the T3, and reduce the airflow.

Other than that, standard advice would be to adjust the voltage at which you're firing, or adjust your e-liquid. Nic content and PG/VG ratio will affect TH.

I'm getting an "easy" draw, I don't know about airy with the Kanger T3. I did adjust the voltage higher and was able to achieve a better throat hit, considering i'm using 100% VG right now. I think in the future I will buy a 50/50 mix and see how that goes. I use 18mg - 24mg nicotine. I'm also using a 1.8ohm bottom coil, which I think means I don't need to raise the voltage so high.

Anyone know what an ohm is, and it's impact on ecigarettes?

Well that's something I had to recall from school days. Seems it is very important to getting a good vaping experience. Ohms Law.
Veterans here seem to shoot for about 8 watts to create a good vape.

Check it out. It will surely help you.
Volts X Volts / ohms = watts

Oh. To answer your question. Ohms is a measure of resistance.

^^^^^^^ What s(he) said.

Easy fixes to try:

If you received one with 3 air holes on the bottom then just plug one up with your finger and vape for a while, if the performance improves just use glue or toothpick to plug the hole permanently. Another suggestion is to invert the silicon seal that's sitting on top of the wick: Pic taken from a post here by GIMike
t3 before and after.jpg

Hit or miss results (might end up with massive flood):

Remove the coil center post to expose the wick/coil and take out one of the two "flavor' wicks that's sitting on top of the main wick. Be careful not to don't lose it, you might need to put it back later if it show signs of flooding.

Compromise:

Thin down the eliquid with distilled water/PGA/PG, depending on how much you use you might notice a drop in terms of flavor.

My understanding is that PG will give you more throat hit and flavor while VG will give you more vapor. I am also using a Kanger T3 with an eGo battery. I have a 50/50 blend and with my regular 3.7v battery I do not get much thoat hit. If I use my variable volt eGo and turn it up to 4.8v then I get some more throat hit but I don't like it as much.

It is really a matter of personal opinion and personal tastes. With the eGo-C twist you can adjust the voltage quite a bit, I think that with that battery and the Kanger T3 it is recommended to use the normal 2.4 ohms resistance. I can't recall where I read this but it is kinda stuck in my mind. I am using the 2.4 ohms and I really enjoy the T3 on a plain Jane eGo.

Kanger T3 run best at 4.3v - 4.4v with the 2.2ohm - 2.4ohm coil they have. Also you may want to plug up one or two of the air holes in the base

Sorry to revive an old thread, but I came across this because I was having issues with a Kanger T3 myself. I was finding the draw was incredibly airy and the taste of my apple 18mg was not as dense as my other flavors.

I set it to 4v and plugged one of the holes at the bottom and it did the job! Superb taste/flavor. Best part is you can tighten/back off the T3 just a little so that one of the holes is exactly opposite the firing button and if you hold it just right, you can cover the hole and still get a very comfortable grip on the pv (ego-c upgrade 900mAh).

Thanks for this advice!

I have/had pretty much the same set up. I found the Kangers don't really hit below 3.8 v. The upgrade ego might hit 3.7 v in unregulated mode. My only answer is to get a vv battery. My upgrades shut down from a low resistance atomizer. I really like the vision 1300 spinner much more than my 1000 ego twist. I also purchased 650 twists. Currently using kanger EVODs on those. Loads of vapor, taste, and th. Standard wicking works great with Bobas and House. Both VG. With red oak from Johnson'screek I needed to add 2 additional 1 mm pieces of silica wick because of how thin it is despite being VG. I would recommend that for any thin liquids in kangers. Hope this helps...
