Okay, so after lurking on this forum for almost a year now and gathering a suitable amount of information, i finally decided to buy my first ecig and give quitting analogs a shot. A quick rundown of what i ordered, all from cloudsofvapor.

I got the premium starter kit, which contains

2 650mah Joyetech eGo Twist batteries with variable voltage
1 Black Smoktech eGo Dual Coil Cartomizer that holds up to 5ml.
1 Vision eGo Clearomizer
1 Imist eGo Tank system with cartridge
1 2.5ml Smoktech eGo DCT Tank
and a butterscotch eliquid sample
I figured this would be a good kit to start out with as it has multiple tank systems i can try out first and see what i like the best. I would have preferred a 650 mah and a 1000 mah battery but sadly there wasnt an option for that.

On top of this kit i got
3 of the 10ml containers
COV ego tank with air control (i know it says for advanced users, but i feel as if ive absorbed enough information from lurking enough to know how to operate it, as im also a mechanically inclined person.)
12 mls of cherry tobacco
10 mls of bobas bounty
12 mls of carmel tobacco
to get me started.

Can you guys suggest anything else i might need to start my ecig journey? i feel like i have most bases covered until i can get my personal opinions on stuff.

Sounds good.

Little additional things to keep around. You'll go through more paper towels now. It just happens. I keep q-tips on hand to make a quick swab of the battery connection before I charge the battery. There's not always condensation there, but it happens. And a paperclip is handy. :)

Totally aggre with that, paper towels is vaper best friend lol

ego twist is awesome setup for stater, maybe you should buy some carto like boge 2.0 ohm or 3.0 just to try bunch of juice you like...

Sounds like an amazing start. I started with Freshcigs, rapidly moved on to e-go C and now have a Provari 2 - all in 6 weeks and not smoked during this time. Am also having a go making my own juice but finding it trickier than I first thought. Agree with the comment about paper tissues - wife wonders why they are going so quick so will do a stealth run on the toilet rolls!

Thanks for the tips guys.

I have friends that would buy the rebranded ones at gas stations and id take a couple puffs of them, but most i found to be very difficult to get hits (hence the air control tank). But im hoping with the extra money i spent on this itll be worth it.

Now to my understanding, if i chose i can still use this battery with a normal atomizer and cartridge setup too correct? I doubt id go with that route because i love the tank concept but im just curious.

Also those of you with larger collections, is there any organizing methods you guys have found? I was thinking after a while things might get a bit cluttered and/or lost. I was thinking of maybe a fishing tackle box to keep things organized..

Careful with the duel coil cartos on a VV device. The device will regulate the voltage down to match the lower Ohm of the carto. You might think you're running at 4.2 volts but the device will actually regulate it back down to 3.7. Nice safety feature. I usually recommend a 3.0 ohm carto to take full advantage of the VV. I have a few eGo twist batteries, along with a Lavatube and I use nothing but 3.0 Boges. I can run the voltage up and down the dial and enjoy all the voltages.

Yes because it's a 510 threading you have a wide range to choose from...attys, cartridges, cartomizers, tanks, clearomizers as long as they're 510 threading which is the most popular.
Good Luck

I use something similar to this:

Great for both parts and sample size bottles.

this is EXACTLY what I use.. works great!

I bought a regular ego-c for my starter kit as well and the tank system it comes with works pretty well after a thorough break in period but I'm getting tired of all the excess juice that's waste when you want to switch flavors between different cartridges. This can be avoided with some extra care but I guess I'm too lazy to do so hah. I've read good things about the gotvapes Phoenix bottom coil Clearomizers so I ordered a pack. I have yet to receive them in the mail or try them but you should check them out if you're looking for a handy on the go no fuss vape.

I have a feeling im going to be on this forum for a very long time. I cant say ive ever seen such a friendly, helpful community. Now i just need to get past the 5 post limitation so i can start posting!

Also, im slightly worried because i vaguely remember reading 100% VG juice is a bit think for tanks, is this true? All of the juice i ordered from COV is VG, if it is true can i just dilute it slightly?

Welcome Regicidal - I just saw that kit at COV yesterday and was going to make a comment about it in another thread. I think you have a great startup kit. I use high VG juices sometimes 70-80% and do not have problems with it. Remember, if you dilute your juice, it will dilute the flavor and nic content as well. Best of luck!

3ohm on a Twist won't even give 8 watts. 4.8*4.8/3 = 7 and some change.

Just saying.

Now that i actually have an ecig coming finally ive been reading up on e-liquid more. While doing this i saw its recommended to let it "steep" for 2-4 weeks. Is this true? Is there any ways to speed it up? Ive been so excited for it to get here but found out i have to wait another 2-4 weeks before i can start.. It was semi disappointing.

Not all juice needs to steep. Some do. I've read that tobacco flavors might, as well as creamier fluids. Best way to find out what it needs is to just try it. If it seems blah, you let it sit. :)
