EGO Cartomizer, odd taste

Do ego carto's taste better after the first fill? I filled evenly on both sides through the fill-hole, and had at least 2ml in there (I saw a vid that said to let it leak into a bottle, so I did) However even with 2ml+ of juice and a couple of hours battery side down to settle, it tastes a little chemical-y. Almost like filler, but not quite.

I've tried the same flavor in clear-o's and a couple of boiled blu cartos, both on the ego, as well as a LR atty drip, and the flavor is there in the ego carto, but its very very light, and there's more chemical taste than flavor.

Am I just not filling it enough? Do I need to let it sit longer, or give it a taryn spin? Are there any other ways to fill the thing? Like perhaps from the battery end instead of the fill-hole? I'll take any advise you guys have to offer to get this freakin taste to go away.

A lot of peeps say the primer taste won't go away from washing and needs to be 'burnt through' - usually one or two cartos puffed through (don't have to inhale if it tastes like fart!)

Are you talking about the eGo Mega Cartos? I tried those and really didn't like them. They all made my juice taste like dirty mop water and you can't really clean them. Cartos with filler in them shouldn't have any primer in them because they don't need it. Normally primer is only used with atomizers.

Yeah it's an ego mega carto. The ones that are the size of the ego cone with the genjoye center filling port. I've done some research and I find that a lot of people have similar problems, which sucks because I think they taste amazing until they crap out.

It tastes like molten plastic on a regular ego after one top-off. Maybe I'm vaping it too hard but the taste just didn't go away no matter how much juice I pump through it. I'm very close to pitching it. I think part of the problem was the juice which is 80% vg and probably didn't wick well, which caused me to toast filler and cause the bad taste.

Before you throw it, take it apart and see if the filler has a burn hole in it, then you'll know for next time.

I'm scared to let my cartos go dry because of what I've seen on youtube of burnt out ones and peeps describing the taste, & nvm taste I dont want burnt filler in my lungs!
