What am I doing wrong with my Ego mega cartomizer?

I just got the Ego mega cartomizers in the mail yesterday and added juice and awful burnt taste and no smoke. I thought maybe I didn't fill it enough and made sure I put in enough juice and then shook it and spun it some.....still awful. I pulled out a differnt cartomizer thinking maybe its just a bad one and filled it with a different juice and same thing. Is is VG juice? Is it the cartomizers? I let them sit overnight thinking maybe they just needed time and still not a good vape. I need my nicotine!!!!!!!!!!

VG juice may need to be thinned to flow properly in carto stuffing. Otherwise you are going to get dry spots and singe the stuffing. I use 70pg/30vg juices in cartos and some of those are even a bit thick. Also when I fill I new carto I make sure I put in about enough drops to equal the capacity (figuring 18-24 drops is an ml). Then I clean it up (clean threaded end, blow into the thread end if there is a defined air channel to clear, sop up any loose juice above the stuffing). Then I lay it on different sides for about 15-20 minutes. That seems to be enough time for my juices to be absorbed into every bit of stuffing at least well enough so the carto won't singe. But my juices are probably a lot thinner than yours. You could try thinning your juice with distilled water or pure grain alcohol.

And when you say "put in enough juice" - what is the capacity of your carto and did you put that much in?

Method of adding juice? Condom cap? Syringe? How much juice added? Pure VG may be a little thick for the pollyfill... but even at a 50/50 mix one would think sitting overnight it should absorb into the filler.

I do the syringe method to fill and put in about 1.5 ml. Did I ruin the cartomizers if I burnt the filling?

And verify these are stuffing-type cartos, not some reservoir kind.

When I filled an eGo Mega Cartomizer the first time I counted the number of drops it took. It was 60. That's almost 1/3 of a 10ml bottle. I was using 100% PG juice. I kept getting a burned taste too which I attributed to the juice not wicking fast enough. If I took a few hits in a minute it would taste burned. If I took a hit every couple of minutes it was fine. After vaping about 1/3 of the juice out of it, it tasted burned all the time. I gave up on them and still have a couple of new ones left from many months ago. In my opinion they just don't work very well.
