Ego cartomizer problem (chemical like taste and irritation)

You are about the 4th person that has gotten them from cignot and is Not having a problem.

5 of mine came from cignot and 1 came from TW. They all went bad after 3 or 4 refills. I keep wondering if it is something in my juice.

I have regular cartos that I have refilled 20 or 30 times with no bad taste or smell.

I have the same problem. First fill, bad taste, shake it up, bad taste goes away. Lead me to believe it was a fill issue. 5 minutes of normal vaping, bad taste again. Absolutely no way in hell I used up 2ml in 5 minutes, that'd give me a headache. Gave it a Taryn spin, juice came out, better taste. Another few puffs, bad taste again.

I'm the kind of person who'll vape for a minute, then set it down and wait 5 minutes, puff once every couple minutes after that, set it down for a half hour, repeat.

Even letting it sit battery side down in between vapes doesn't seem to cover it. A full fill, letting it drip through the battery end into a bottle til it stops, wiping it off and putting it back on the ego is the only thing that seems to stop the bad taste, which totally defeats the purpose of a carto, which is to leave it on the damn battery ALL DAY.

Note: Just took another vape after letting it sit battery side down for 5 minutes. Result: great vapor, still bad taste, but not as potent. Shook it up after that. Result: exact same. Not gonna waste any more money on these cartos unless someone comes up with a fix.

I gave up on these very shortly after my last post. Just couldn't get rid of the bad taste after one or two refills.

I since have moved to an eGo XL atomizer and am very happy with it. It will develope the burnt taste after 10 days or so also. But it can be cleaned or Dry Burned and afterwards, it tastes just like it did when it was brand new.

I really like the ego carto's too. It's a damn shame because when they work, they work REALLY well. Mine didn't even last one whole fill, but I was vaping on it pretty heavily. What a POS. I got a few IKV cartos today so I'll see how I like those and post reviews on the IKV site after a week. The IKV mega is HUGE. 510 diameter but it sticks out of the ego cone a good inch, even longer than the clearo XL. So far it's very promising.

I'll refrain from pitching my ego carto until I try to clean it and maybe syringe some of the juice out and do my own version of an ego autopsy. There's gotta be a valid explanation. I got a burned rubber taste on the clearo's too which was fixed by cutting off a dinky piece of heatshrink, so I'll keep an eye out for anything like that.
