"Also when tightening the drip tip occasionally the coil assembly will turn and break the negative wire loose from the base contact. "
Yes,it's look like this:

BTW, the carto is still working w/o any problems(10 days of a heavy use) . No leaks or cracks.
Dekang and extra wick are seems a solution for the longer life of the C5+.

I got 4 of the CE5+. I broke the wire in the first one trying to clean it. The second and third are working great. I opened the fourth one today.......all I get is a nasty burnt taste. I let it sit for several hours....same thing. Any ideas what might be wrong? Would like to salvage this thing if I can.

Also ordered E3 and Apollo today....can't wait to check them out. Learned my lesson with the CE5 tho...ordered just 1 each to try.

Darn it. Everybody fell in love with these things and now replacement innards are out of stock. Guess I'll have to refrain from playing until more come in. The extra larger dummy wick on top, along with enlarged slots on the cap really help. Gets me up to higher voltages real well, but with that tight draw, you gotta hit it like you mean it!

Well, another couple weeks has passed and the carto is still alive but getting sick. The liquid is started to get trough the seal on the bottom but no leakage so far. The coil is getting old too (changed color to dark red). However the carto is still working fine. It has been close to two months already.
