Has anyone tried the
[h=2]eGo CE5+ Rebuildable Clearomizers?[/h]I just saw these on Discount Vapers and was wondering if anyone has tried them and if so how would you rate?

Thanks!

Just ordered some.....as well as one of the E1 rebuildables. Any idea who makes the E1?

So what's the verdict?

Harleydiva replied on the gotvapes forum something similar to the replaceable part required too much fiddling and it stopped working very quickly. Gotvapes will have version 2.0 probably next week they say. It has screw on heads and should be better. I got a feeling if this version doesn't get it right that a subsequent version soon will and I would think replaceable heads in these will soon become the norm.

I've been using these for a couple weeks now, a major improvement over the original non-rebuildable version.

I use the 1.8ohm on Kgo batts, nice warm vapor, great flavor and the ability to break it down for cleaning is superb...remove the coil head and silicone cap, rinse with hot water and a quick dry with a hair dryer then dry burn and their good as new.

Been using them since 5-22-12 and they work great, you need to do a slight mod to the silicone cap on top to help with the wicking. I do a dry burn every 2 weeks and they work like new. I will also add that I dropped one on my EGO Twist at about 10 feet onto a concrete floor and the CE5+ was fine but the Twist DIED. The inards are a little tricky to replace, but not sure how often I will need to do that

A few days agao I received my first "rebuildable" clearo (bought from vaporschoice) so not sure if it's the one you speak of. I like the idea of being able to rebuild but didn't order any additional parts yet. Anyway, after filling up and vaping fine for about 2 minutes it quit. I mean I had fine vapor and fresh battery (which, when I put on a different clearo I vaped away as normal so it wasn't the batt)...but this rebuildable suddenly died. Was it a lemon? I hope they don't require re-building every couple minutes LOL
I don't have time to fiddle that often

Trim the silica cap's slots to allow proper wicking, especially with thick vg juices (dry burnt hits are usually from pinched wicks or gummed up coils)

Resolder the wire when it breaks

when necessary: Remove the drip tip, unscrew the tank, remove the silica cap, rinse everything, blow off excess moisture, screw core (minus silica cap, dril tip, & tank) onto pv, dry burn repeatedly until the coils glow & all the crud stuck to the coils turns white (no you will not burn your wick or create a permanent burnt taste), rinse white ash off then dry burn again to dry off the wick, assemble your clearo & fill with your juice.

Always be sure to align the top of the silica cap with the bottom of the drip tip by wiggling the post at the bottom of the clearo while tightening down the drip tip

All clearos, cartos, & tanks require some type of PITA tweaking to keep them running smoothly for a while.
