Ego charger same as 510 automatic charger?

Hi again. Another quick noob question (and I'm locked to the new members' forum anyway).

We started with Ego (Bud-TM) kits that have a (seemingly generic) 5v-500mA charger. Can I use this with a 510 automatic without damaging it? I've hunted for battery info with the 510 auto kits but can't find anything specific. I found one site that said the charger output was 4.7V and 200mA.

I plugged it in just to see if it would explode and it didn't. Hooray! Blue light came on at the end, but the green light on the charger didn't turn red.

Do I need a different charger?

Thanks in advance.

NO NOT SAFE
Unless you made a typo the 4.7 volt charger is WEIRD.
The 5 volt 500ma charger would not be safe if the value you stated was the output.
510 kits usually take 150ma 4.2 volt chargers.
Some of cheap sort of disposable 510 kits take 5 volts from a straight thru charger.

I wouldn't mix and match. Contact your vendor for info.
mafig, nice chart.
