Hey gang,

First post! Hopefully someone in the noob corner can help me out.

So, i've got myself an eGo and bought a bunch of the Mega Cartomisers with it but have had some weird experiences with them.

I find when i first fill them up, they take about 1.8-2ml in. Good start.

I screw 'em onto my eGo and start vaping away happily - lots of vapor, lots of flavor, not too hot - good result.

Eventually I get to the point where i'm not getting a lot of vapor, and it's starting to taste a little burny, so I figure it's time to refill. I go to refill it, and it only takes in about .5ml before it starts overflowing/dripping out the bottom.

It's like 3/4 of the juice i put in is just never getting to the atomiser.

anyone else had this kind of problem?

I'm thinking about getting one that tastes 'empty' and sawing it in half just to see where all the juice is going.

I am a technical tard, but the likely answer to this seems pretty obvious to me.

My guess is that the issue is that most of the liquid soaks into the filler. Then, once the liquid that is outside of the filler is gone - the atty gets hot and it tastes burnt - BUT the filler is still soaked with liquid. Therefore, when you go to refill it - it takes only .5 ml.

I am not familiar with the design of the MEGA, but this seems logical if it has filler inside...

Basically, it sounds to me that perhaps they designed this with too much filler inside.... but I have never torn apart a carto - so perhaps they are nothing like a cart inside. I have no idea, lol.

These are unmodable TheBuss. If I'm correct, sideways is asking about the ones that have 2 pieces that you have to remove from the mouth piece. You can't see the filler as they are a sealed unit. Here is what I do. When the taste starts to fade, I bounce (very lightly) the battery end on my knee about 5 times. It seems to shake the flavoring down to the atty part. Also, weigh a full one versus an empty new one. When your full one starts to fade, reweigh it. This will give you a good indication on how much juice you have left. I hope this helps. I like mine to use at work. Saves me the trouble of having to top off a cart all the time.

Yup, I've the exact same problem as you describe with all five Mega cartos I have. I decided to quit using them about a week ago, because I don't like the taste very well, anyway. They only last me for about 1/2 hour and then only take 1/2mL (have to use a needle to fill them), so it isn't worth the hassle. I'll stick with the 510 and KR808D-1 soft cap cartos, which provide better taste.

I'm gonna keep them, though, in case I ever want to cut them off and make drip tips. I watched a video here earlier tonight showing how to do that. Except I love my new stainless steel drip tip (use only as a mouthpiece and don't drip into it) from litecigusa.net so much that I probably won't bother.
