This is just a heads up for the moment. I just ordered a few and I'll post my thoughts on them after they arrive (Saturday or Monday). I think these will interest eGo users. They are an eGo mega carto (the battery end is shaped for eGos like the eGo mega atty or the eGo-t attys). It's a dual coil that holds around 5 ml and doesn't require anything special for filling like the regular eGo-specific cartos that have been around a while. They'll just be a "drip around the sides" or syringe fill sort of thing.

By any chance, do you know who makes these?

Not yet. I asked another question about them in madvapes subforum, but I didn't think to ask manufacturer. I would venture a guess that they are a smoke tech product just because of how many items from smoke tech madvpaes carries, but every time I make a half-wild guess like that, I end up being dead wrong ;)

Thanks for the link and information. I must also give these a try. They must have high hopes for them because they have almost 8,000 of them left. I'm going to guess that someone tested them and they're good.

I was wondering the same thing. At $2.49 a pop, I hope they are. OUCH! I never pay that for a carto but I will just this one time.

Yeah. The price tag... As with all things, though, the price will drop in a few weeks. And, they do bring something new to the table, so a premium price might be warranted. A dual coil with a 5 ml capacity made for the eGo batts should have a pretty big audience. - If they perform well and last a while, two and a half bucks might be worth it. I've popped a few $7 to $9 attys in three weeks or less, so if a $2.50 carto can go five to seven days, I think I can be satisfied.

If it works well and lasts that long, I think it would be a bargain.

I ordered a few to try them out too. Thanks for the thread.

Recently I revisited the eGo carto and I'm really enjoying it. The problem I was having before was that they were a pain to refill. This time I took out the inner plug and just left it out. It hasn't leaked without it and now I can fill with a syringe without removing anything. It's so much easier than having to remove both tiny pieces, filling with a syringe and then replacing the two pieces. Now the only time I need to remove anything is to puncture the inside hole before the initial fill.

Well, I said I wouldn't post my thoughts until I had used these for 48 hours. I changed my mind. I want to note some initial impressions.

My initial impressions are very mixed. I only ordered three of these. The first one out of the wrapper has bad threads and will not screw on to any eGo or eGo clone I have nor will it screw on to any of my 510 extenders or adapters. Since this has a skirt like the eGo-t or eGo-mega, I can't actually see what's wrong with the threads without cutting it apart. - 1st one bad.

2nd one - better. It threads on to a genuine eGo battery and any of my extenders or adapters just fine. However, the skirt bottoms out before the 510 connector can make full contact on every eGo clone I have. I have a couple of no-name eGo clones I got in the classifieds a while back, and I have a smoke-tech black battery that says "SMOK" on the top, and I have the gold-ring eGo clone that madvapes sells. The skirt bottoms out on all of them and they can not fire on any of those batteries without using a 510 extender/adapter. Using an extender sort of defeats the purpose of using an eGo-specific design. You may as well just use an extender and put it on a mod.

Capacity: I just got in some 10ml bottles of flavors I haven't tried from BWB. The advertized capacity is around 5ml. I got about 3.7 or 3.8 ml in it before I noticed juice dripping out the bottom all over my desk, my keyboard, and my leg. Initial fill capacity is closer to 3.5 or 3.6 ml than it is 5 ml. - As with most polyfill cartos, I think the filler will become more absorbent after a fill or two, so maybe they'll hold 4 to 4.2 ml. I haven't measured the height and circumference of the filler to figure it out exactly, but I do not think they will ever hold 5 ml. 4ml is probably it.

Vapor Performance: Here's where things get better. I was able to get these to work on standard genuine joye batts, and with an extender, I tried them on a couple of mods and also with an extender, i tried them on a couple of eGo clones. At 3.2v on a genuine joye eGo batt, they produce at least as much if not more vapor than an eGo-mega that's working properly. That's very good. They produce a lot of vapor at 3.2. -- They surprised me at 3.7. The vapor was thick and warm almost as good as a standard dual coil at 5.0v. That makes the fact i couldn't get them working without an adapter on my eGo clones pretty disappointing because it would be a really nice match if it worked ( I can see a scenario where a small amount of time with a file could make these work just fine on an eGo clone like the ones I have, but out of the box, this is just unfortunate). -- I just got a 5.0v triple-v out of the classifieds. So, that what I tried these at 5.0v with. It produced a cloud like I've never seen before. I will most certainly be ordering a couple of 510-to-ego adapters so I can use these cartos on my triple v and have it look nice at the same time. All I can say about the cloud of vapor is "WOW".

Flavor: Here's where I screwed up. As I mentioned, the juice I used was a flavor I've never tried before. I have no idea what it's supposed to taste like. -- The flavor I used in he carto I'm testing is BWB Malty toffee. At 3.2 on the genuine joye ego, the flavor is a little weak. At 3.7 the flavor was better (more potent), I suppose, but again: I've never used this flavor on any other device, so maybe I should just quit talking about it... That was not a good choice to be able to share my thoughts. The remaining carto that I haven't used yet will get filled with a flavor I use every day, but that's going to wait until tomorrow.

Other topics I'll mention when I return to this in a couple of days: Wicking, and whether or not I think they'll last. I may even attempt a cleaning on this first one after I've consumed this 10 ml of malty toffee because that's all I have of that flavor.

Guess we'll have to buy two or three and decide for ourselves. At 2.49 each, not bad considering the Giantomizers are costing 11.00 bucks each and are a pain to fill and clean out. Not to mention the PITA ego mega plastic cartos which are not cleanable. These would be worth a try I'd say for a mega dualie. Another thing, even though they fit an ego batt, I'd use the 900 or better with it, still has that same resistance as the other dualies which are not recommended for the ego batts even though many are using them anyhow, myself included.

I tried the giantomizer when it came out. It was the absolute worste vaping experience I've ever had bar none... And I have purchased a lot of junk. I can't say it ofen or loud enough that the giantomizer was the most horrible of all the horrible.

15 seconds with the file on my leatherman and these cartos will work with my ego clone batteries. ~4 ml capacity, great vapor, and probably very good flavor (remains to be seen as already described), and perhaps these are a winner. I'm going to guess that the manufacturer will sort out the depth to press the guts in to these on the next run because there will undoubtedly be some complaints and returns.

I've been using this carto for a few hours on a 1000 mah ego battery. So far, it has produced consistent quality vapor. It's actually very good. It was better at 3.7v, though. -- And madvapes is great about returns etc, so if other people have any with bad threads like my first one, madvapes will take care of it, I'm sure. If it were either of the vendors I got those lousy giantomizers from, it would be a different story.

six,

Thanx for your insight. Since I use my eGo system daily, these puppies are the cat's azz for me! I've been tokin' three different flavored set ups non-stop ever since the postman dropped 'em off 'round noon (OK, I did stop for supper).

I can see where the skirt would be an issue with other systems.

As I indicated in my other POST, I'm a VERY happy camper thus far. .

I'll be watching this thread for your further evaluations! Thanx again...

I bought two of the latest Giantomizers to try after watching them hyped on a couple of demo videos. I must agree with you - worthless - thrown into the garbage. I honestly don't know how they could sell them, and they were expensive. I wasted some bucks in several juices trying to give them every benefit of the doubt. The experiment on these dual coil cartomizers will be much less expensive, and I have reason to believe that the outcome will be good. I bought 5 to try - we'll see. I have two 1,000 mah genuine Joye Ego-T batteries to try these on, and I'm optimistic after reading other's experiences with these. I can understand them not fitting all the clones. When reading that part of your review, I was also thinking about filing them down - also with my Leatherman. That's one handy little rascal for all kinds of small jobs.

So you need extension to work on most mods wright?

Yes. The only mod I know of that will accept eGo-specific attys and cartos natively is the newest version of the megalodon. The "right" adapter for these is sold at a lot of different places, but this is where I ordered from.
