EGO Mega T battery issue

So I have been vaping fine up until now. My ego suddenly stopped working. The battery seems to have normal LED function, but it does not seem to screw in the same amount into the charger, and the charger does not recognize it. Also, the attys seem to screw in farther, and they dont produce vapor no matter how far i screw it in. Something feels different. It seems to have totally lost any function other than the led on off etc. When i put it in the atomizer i dont even get that "pssss" vapor production noise, nothing happens. It is a joyetec 1000mah (i think) mega t battery. The contacts are clean, the amount i screw it in seems different, things dont line up the same, but there is no blockage or anything.

Any ideas?

Try using a different atomiser and see if that makes a difference. Sounds to me like you somehow forced the centre post (+) of the battery to far in its casing. Try prying it up (gently) with a paper clip. Atties only need to be snug e.g make contact.

It seems that way too. I tried multiple atties, same result. Ill try to raise the center post.

Talk to the vendor. How old is the battery?

I got it at litecigusa.net in late june. Not sure what their policy is. I ordered 2 new passthrough batteries which should be here tomorrow, so it isnt that big of a problem. One thing though - what should I do. If I vape moderately all day, should I carry one fully charged spare battery, and one main, or use one until it breaks then use the other? And should I alternate between my main and spare daily or keep it consistent?

Yes alternate batteries every day. It is better to charge a battery more often than charge them when depleted. LIIon does not have a memory. I always carry a spare with me

my new liquids and passthroughs came in I must say the ego-T 1000mah passthrough is... HUGE. But thats OK. I will do as you say with the battery info, and thanks, that is really helpful. I will carry a spare with me, and alternate them

And is it ok to have it charging while I use it most of the time? I mean I am on my computer all day.
