I have an Ego-T battery that seems to be threaded incorrectly. When I screw any atty on all the way, the button cannot "face front" (by that I mean, for the mouth piece of the tank to be in my mouth the right way, the button has to be almost off to the side). This for some reason also leads to a strange whistling noise and a really horrid taste. The other battery I got in the kit doesn't do this. I read somewhere on here that loosening the atty would get rid of the weird whistling noise. I tried that, and it got rid of the whistle and the horrid taste. Does this mean the battery is threaded incorrectly? I'm ok with the atty being a little loose for it to work properly (I just hope I won't end up with a leak). Is this common for batteries to not fit properly, because I'm assuming the problem may be that this battery blocks the airflow when tightened all the way for some reason. Will leaving the battery slightly loosened hurt battery life or atty temperature/function? Thanks!

I have no idea where I'm at
I can at least answer one of your questions. Just turn the tank until it "lines up" Many others, myself included have always done this, and there seems to be no correlation between lining up the post/base with the tank configuration and leakage or performance. That is, it doesn't matter if the flat sides of the tank line up with the flat sides of the atty internal base. Hold it with batt up, and either turn the tank until it lines up to the desired position, or pull the tank out halfway, turn it to desired position, and refit tank to full-in position. I do both and have not had any problems, using the same tanks for weeks now.

You can take a dry hit and slightly unscrew the atty until whistling stops, many use that technique to adjust the draw either for a tighter or a lighter draw. I have fooled around with it myself to try different draws, and as long as you are not too exaggerated, you shouldn't have any leakage.

All of my attys are different with each batt (2 reg, 1 XL, and a PT). I pretty much like mine screwed down all the way and just adjust the tank to line-up, but one likes me to back off the atty from fully home to vape better, sometimes, but not always (I think it has to do with the juice than anything else).

Good luck.

The part of Canada that doesn't get enuf Snow :(
Just to reaffirm previous post. Turn your tank to where you want it it doesn't matter which way it all lines up. I thot it did from reading posts regarding lining up tank with atty. I too like my button either up or down and some of my atty's won't line up with the vents on the tanks. So what the flow is the same vape is the same. I had even read not to rotate the tank in the atty why not it makes no change. The tank is so simple I'm not sure why so many have issues with it. I am constantly fiddling with it pulling tank in and out. Changing flavors etc etc with absolutely no issues with it. I believe it's best just to use it as it is as it's designed. I can get almost as much vapor and flavor as my reo mod. It's a little more maintenance but still very simple compared to many other units
