This has become a very strange thread. (Has the title changed?)

The product has some great reviews. I expect many are genuine.

However, some reviews are not trustworthy as the e-cig industry is full of 1. fake reviews and 2. reviews designed to make other vapers money at the expense of new vapers - 'payment for clicks' or straight 'affiliate selling'.
In Europe, this will be illegal after May 2016. GOOD. I am sick of it, truly. :(

Now, your dilemma (problem) is not such a surprise. E-cigarettes have become more powerful and not everybody can just start vaping on a powerful e-cig.

You can rescue this situation.

Please - but a different sort of tank. Find something that vapes more gently.
The eGo ONE 0.5ohm coil vapes at above 35 watts on a fresh battery. I cannot manage this, or enjoy this nor will 95% of the people you see vaping worldwide.

People are (should be) free to vape however they feel. If Vaping at 50w stops you smoking, that's what you have to do. If you enjoy it, do it! Just because these products exist doesn't make them suitable for new vapers.

There is probably nothing wrong with either the battery or the tank (if you can handle these levels of power). The idea that quality control is responsible for your experience is probably not true. Sure, quality control is not 100% with cheap Chinese products, but the eGo ONE is a proven and acceptable system for a certain type of vaper.

Buy a nice tank (22mm) with a coil of 1.2-2.2ohms and try vaping at a more gentle level of power, please.

I just wish I could speak German better. Please don't give up. :)

I want to update , I feel absolutely like I smoked 2 packs of cigarettes yesterday when I wake up today this morning
The burned coil really damaged my throat and lungs and I spit some black goo...This is no joke , these devices are dangerous for one simple reason when the coild is burned and gives u the burned chemicals it does it gradually and when u feel it is kinda too late. Also the Chinese quality of ego one .... for sure no quality control , and when I searched the net there are more peaopel complaining if their product .
I wonder why all reviewers gave then maximum score and only one gave them their lowest note for their shi**y quality (burn taste , spill liquid , spill liquid in mouth , overheat)
I felt all of then

Man , and I thought vaping was the solution , is not , and for sure can be more dangerous than cigarettes , and I suspect might damage your lungs quite quickly (weeks/moths)
I will go now to the vape shop and throw the defective device on their floor and also wanr their other customers of this .... + I will make an youtube video to want other people of this dangerous products
personally, not a big fan of those tanks/ coils - but i am firmly of the opinion that the only time vaping could be more dangerous than cigarettes is when the gear is not performing properly or not used correctly - don't get me wrong, not saying this is operator error, but i AM saying that your assertion that "for sure can be more dangerous than cigarettes" is false, categorically... it's simply NOT a valid premise, based on experience with one inferior tank setup

my wife used an ego one battery with a kanger subtank mini on top of it and had almost zero issues - i really think the broken link here is that tank - before you chuck the baby out with the bathwater, may be worth checking out a different tank - like the kanger subtank mini...

good luck, brother - i understand being frustrated, but would definitely recommend a different approach before you go ballistic - a lot of shops are helpful, a lot are not (just looking to sell you something) - there is EXCELLENT info on this forum, and if you are truly looking for a safer, healthier alternative to smoking, vaping is hands down what i would recommend - but you have to have a decent tank for it to work right (and some folks seem to like those tanks, though i do not... a lot of that depends also on vaping style)

also, keep in mind, almost all folks who quit smoking and start vaping notice a variety of side effects from QUITTING SMOKING - these are NOT causally related to STARTING VAPING - these are, according to viable studies, the results of your lungs healing and your body starting to purge itself of the 3000+ chemicals and toxins present in cigarettes... its part of the 'detox' process (all the additives in cigs to make them seem 'smoother' or 'enjoyable' just add to the problems)

Erm, I used an Ego One for some time with no issues at all. It sounds like you're burning your coils and continuing to vape on burnt coils. Whether it's a wicking issue or something else is sort of irrelevant. Don't vape burnt heads.

Nobody has asked: What kind of e-liquid are you using?

Well as a last ditch effort I changed it for a kanger Subox-Mini
Untill now it works good (0.5 ohm , i set it at 23 watts). The coil costs 4 euros and I expect at least 7 days out of it, if it burns only after couple of days , then I say vaping is over rated , and good only for hardcore modders who don't mind making their on coils on a daily basis

Strangely the tanked had some leakage(through air vents) but the shop owners told me is normal , because ecig technology is still new....
Well already a - for the device

Leaking through air holes in a Subtank usually means an improper seal with the coil head.

sounds like the shop owners don't really know what they are talking about

if the tank is leaking through air holes, check the coil and make sure it was not over-tightened (there is a small silicone o-ring under the coil, where it seals to tank base - if you over-tighten, it will deform the ring, causing leakage)

every once in a while i get a small amount of leakage from my kanger subtank, but it is pretty minimal

not to put too fine a point on it, but vaping is a little technology based - it does require some research and basic operating knowledge of the gear you are using - this forum can be a great place to get that info, but you have to be willing to ask some questions prior to the ranting...

smoking cigarettes is easy - light the correct end on fire and suck on it... then, likely die early from various complications (cancer, ephysema, etc) and in the meantime, experience diminished quality of life... vaping does take a little effort and there is a learning curve, but you can do it - lots of us have

best of luck and vape on

I have been vaping for more than three years and at this moment I am vaping at 1.4 ohm. There are plenty of people that don't go that low.

I hope that you do not give up vaping over this experience. Perhaps trying a different device? I know it can be frustrating finding what works for you and getting equipment that is not working properly doesn't help. Just as a side note, I can get much longer life with my coils, I clean them with alcohol (vodka) by rinsing them in water first, then letting them soak in the vodka for several hours and air dry them overnight.

Exactly this. Just because ONE DEVICE is crap... does NOT mean that VAPING is crap. It means you need to find something better, which is something that EVERY SINGLE ONE OF US has gone through.

People who make their own coils are not "hardcore modders." Usually they are people who, like you, are fed up with crappy commercial coils. We also don't build new coils everyday, because one of the reasons for building your own coils is that they last a long time -- months sometimes, with regular dry-burning and re-wicking.

Commercial, pre-made coils are particularly for those just starting, who don't know yet if vaping is going to work for them. A great many of us decide that we're sick of throwing good money after bad, and start building our own -- it's not difficult at all, just takes a little effort and patience. I'm a total klutz, and a total doofus with most technical, tool-oriented stuff -- but making coils is very easy.

If you don't have the stick-to-it-iveness to stick with vaping instead of cigarettes, don't blame it on the hardware. Just accept that you'd rather smoke than learn something new.

I would like to make a suggestion. An Evod or Ego type battery 14mm with a Mini Protank 3 or Mini Aerotank on it. Start there and the work up to other devices a month or two later. Your first purchase will not be a waste. It will be something you can carry in your pocket after you work up to a larger device.

What I am suggesting is fairly compact and will be useful still even as you move to other gear because of it's portability.

filter is the atomizer/coil. as far as changing it out it depends how much you use it if your experienced like for me when I first started I would burn my coils/cotton in a day because I fired them at a very high temp and would last 3 days max. but yes 2 weeks is a long time. you will know when you need to change it because of the way it tastes and vapes. it goes from a crisp flavor and vape then it starts to muffle out and taste weird because coils are getting gunk up. I suggest buying a better mod and an rda/rta in the near future saves money in the long run and is easier to see when to change the cotton/coils
