my thoughts:

I believe the horizontal coils make for better air flow & flavor compared to the vertical style
juice and heat in the middle, air drawn all around ; vs (heat/juice on outside, air THRU center)

therefore I have no interest in vertical coils...

I usually build 5 or 6 wraps (3mm I.D.) for around 1.0Ω

but an 8 wrap / 3mm does fit inside pretty nice (think I did an 11 wrap once just to see if it fit)

Yeah, I went and did a nine-wrap during half time of the hoops game. I had forgotten how thin that 30g is. Looks like it will fit fine IF ONE OF THESE DANG COILS EVER WEARS OUT.

I think you'll like the Ego / CLR system. It's so easy to build & wick. It doesn't take a lot of fiddling to find your sweet spot. Getting it tuned in doesn't take long.

If you're talking about just the individual tank, no it does not come with a coil installed. I have three megas that came as part of a kit with the VTC Mini, and they each came with .5Ω coils. (I think they were .5, but it's been a while).

Yep! That's what I was referring to. I cleaned up my vape gear a couple of weeks ago and found 2 eGo One V2's that I bought last spring still in there boxes but there were no coils in them. Thanks Mike! I'm glad I wasn't crazy. Well that's debatable....

Yep. And be sure to select 1.0 in the little drop-down menu on the page.

Yep but buy the CLR coils and not the CL ones. The CL ones aren't rebuilable.

You could still use them, just not rebuild them. And I hate to say it but I bought the CL coils the first time.

At the rate you're moving, and knowing that the pins are interchangeable, I'd get one set of each 1.0 ohm and .5 ohm. You can tootle some times and lung it some times, and swap as needed.

yepper, the original eGo ONE tank came with a coil
new v2 has NO coil

a GREAT suggestion - first purchase get both .5Ω & 1.0Ω
then you can switch back-n-fourth to learn what/how you like it and also customize...

CL coils are not rebuildable, not good, and vertical
CLR coils are horizontal and Fabulous..
