Try finding something that just fits into the grooves on the CLR without forcing it and use that to wind the coil.
That's exactly what I've been doing. The screwdriver barely fits. I do like the idea of bigger diameter. I'm gonna try making a bigger coil and fitting it in without support.

Edit:I may have something at 2.5mm. Gonna try that and report back in a few days.

Those are around 2 mm....probably a little small for a good wick.
Yup. I think 2.5 mm is perfect for the CLRs.

If you don’t want to buy a Coil Master jig (highly recommended), a 3/32” drill bit will get you very, very close to 2.5 mm (a shade under).

Actually I have a coil master replica which doesn't work but it's heads definitely will. Gonna try and report back.

I think you meant 3/32". It comes to 2.38mm. 3/8" is bigger than a pencil.

Hello, Jumping! I suggest we stay with the metric system. Mohid is from Pakistan. :D

I think we are the last country on this planet that's NOT using the metric system.

I could see that the cotton wick was not covering the wicking holes completely and that was the source of leakage and it is what I'm talking about. Was I not wicking it correctly?

Right! The holes need to be covered or your tank will leak like a sieve. A larger diameter coil and bushy wick tails should solve your problem.

It's kinda funny the systems we use. We "mostly" use metric system. We use feet and inches for length and height, and meters/kilometers for distance.

I went on a drip tip shopping spree in an attempt to get drip tips that actually fit properly in my Ego One's - which seem to have abnormally deep drip tip holes (also I hate the OEM drip tips because they are big & give off a metal flavor). Got some winners (losers not shown).

Yes. White tip in second pic. Second and 3rd tip in first pic. Thanks, buddy:)

First pic:

2nd tip....
The top part is: $1.34 316 Stainless Steel + POM Hybrid 510 Drip Tip - detachable / 16mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
It has a screen inside which is awesome. The sell 2 multicolor sets 1 of which I plan to buy...
$3.91 316 Stainless Steel + POM Hybrid 510 Drip Tip Kit (18 Pieces) - detachable / 16mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
$6.48 316 Stainless Steel + POM Hybrid 510 Drip Tip (8 Pieces) 8-pack - detachable / 16mm / ships one of each color at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

The bottom part is from this set I got: $1.66 Resin 510 Drip Tip w/ Stainless Steel Base - 23mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
I wish I could find a listing for just the base because I would like to get more of these bases

3rd tip...
This one is one piece and does not come apart. When I saw it, I thought I would not like it as it is very wide, but it is very pleasant to use.
$1.73 Stainless Steel + Acrylic Hybrid 510 Drip Tip - 22.3mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Second pic:

White tip...

As linked above already: $1.66 Resin 510 Drip Tip w/ Stainless Steel Base - 23mm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Honestly, I don't love this shape combined with it's shortness - your lips will definitely touch whatever is beneath it.

The bottom part is: $2.02 Stainless Steel + Acrylic Hybrid 510 Drip Tip - 29.1mm / yellow at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
Don't get this drip tip - very crappy. The top yellow part doesn't have an o-ring holding it in or even a slot for an o-ring on its base.

The base is kinda dinky (I think it is aluminum not SS) and not well made but it is a perfect size and has the narrowest bore of all the bases: $8.37 Aluminum 510 Drip Tip (7-Pack) 7-pack - 14mm / ships w/ one of each color at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
