She’s still smoking so her taste buds are probably a bit numbed tho. Even now, I think the naked 100 eliquids I’ve tried so far (POG and Mango) are about right for me - and that’s more than 4 years after converting to vaping.

The Lava is great stuff, and I love it. But when I open a USPS box and am overwhelmed by the scent, it's pretty clear that they're not light-headed with the flavors.:vapor:

I agree on the 12 mg to quit smoking as the bare minimum. I needed 24 mg and did not cut that level down for two years. I still prefer 16 to 18 mg for the Ego Megas and Kayfuns.

You are a great person Beamslider, that is such a wonderful thing you are doing.

I can boost it for her no problem. I have 100 mg and 48 mg nic salt base in pg. The Naked 100 tobacco she is getting is a strong flavor from what I remember. So I don't think that 3.5 ml of 100 mg in the bottle would make much difference in flavor. I mix my own and could have mixed her some but that wouldn't be a long term solution for her. I'll let her try it for a few days then see what she thinks.

The Vape store she is going to has Naked 100 in 3mg, 6mg and 12mg. They also have the Naked 100 30ml bottles that are nic salt but they are 35mg, way too much I think.

@Beamslider , I think it would be okay to start her on a lower level of nic, to begin with. You can always raise it if needed. I might consider starting at 9, it's a MTL vape, and it might help her experience the "benefits" of vaping earlier, but given that she's older and etc., I'd say erring on the side of caution as far as nicotine overload would be wise. Given the amount she's smoking I think 9 would be reasonable, and if she needs twelve or higher, you can always bump up the nic. She should be able to tell you fairly easily within a few days whether or not her nic level is satisfying or if she's struggling or craving and etc. But, I don't see 6--9 as at all unreasonable in that tank and with that coil.

Good luck and I wish you and her much success! She will have an awesome vaping coach, that is for certain! :)

The average cigarette delivers aboit 1 mg of nicotine at, for arguments sake, 100%. If they were smoking half a pack a day, that's 10 mg.

Eliquid is measured in percentages or mg per ml. Vaping 1 ml of 12mg strength will deliver 12 mg.

But, the absorption rate is only about 75% compared to combustibles. That means their system is only getting 9 mg of nic. Might be enough, but that limits them to 1 ml a day. Often, that's not enough to satisfy the hand-to-mouth habit.

Consider, then @stols suggestion of 9 mg. If they vape 2 ml, their getting 18 mg, but metabolizing 13.5 mg. A bit high, but not nic-sick high.

With 6 mg strength, they could go through 3 ml per day, and with 3 mg, 6 ml.

As per my usual MO, it's all overthought...

I'm sorry that my ease as far a confusingly changing my name from time to time (Amma, Amna, Anan" etc) is causing you such deep confusion, @DPLongo22 , LOL.

Imagine living it. Oh wait, we both do LongoDPL47!!

Just enjoy the kindred spirit aspect of it, is what I'm suggesting. LOL.

Anna

LOL!

Actually, it would end up being either 11, 13, 33, 44 or double-nickels. I'm particular about my "numerics".

I know, it's confusing enough to be stols and Anna. LOL.

I type really fast and find names to be somewhat irrelevant in my case, it's completely accidental @oplholik , LOL. I just type way too fast, and save all my proofreading for like, the stupid book. Which, I am going to get back into, it's just yesterday was horrid (med mixup) and apparently my body is telling me today, "Anna, your 24 hour estimate of being "right" today should have been assessed more candidly as 48 hrs. LOL.
