Hi Nanny:) I was a tomboy. I had a few of my own:)
Same here, Frannie. I still have scars from proving to the boys I was as good as they were at most things girls would never even try. I'm past 60, so we were the generation that played tackle football without pads, hardball without helmets, and rode rusty bicycles. My mom put us out in the morning and we came in when it got dark. Somehow, we lived! :)

then after a full morning of successful battles fought, the hot afternoon sun lent a hand at amusement... :D

Okay folks, my mega tanks and clr coils should at the house today. Thing is I may not be there until Christmas. So I'm looking for a little preplanning advice for when I get to them. I'm hoping to build at 1.3ohm. What's largest I.D. coil that is likely to fit? I've got 30ga and 28ga Kanthol should I be looking to order something a little heavier so it's there when I get home. Prefer to stay with Kanthol.

Okay folks, my mega tanks and car [CLR] coils should at the house today. Thing is I may not be there until Christmas. So I'm looking for a little replanting advice for when I get to them. :2c: my thoughts ~ for me ~ is Stainless Steel ALL THE WAY ! (but kanthal works too)

then depending on HOW MUCH POWER you want to apply to said coil,
will dictate the wire gauge you wanna use... IMO
having to crank up the power to get the 'thicker' wire hot enuff to make the juice I use to atomize is beyond my preferred vapor heat

at my tootle-puffin' (9w-15w) any gauge over 28g , takes just too much power to heat
28g, 29g, 30g are the gauges I use to tailor my builds
I determine this by visual while I am 'dry-burning' (you can see reaction time from cold to red, at say 10w)
I was a BIG fan of 31g when I was using the low powered eGo stick batteries & kanger bcc (worked great, for me)

then inside the CLR body a 3.5mm ID coil fits, but TIGHT !
I am still back-n-forth with 3.0mm - 2.5mm I.D. - can't say which one I like better (I use both)
also, just to think about it - air flow restriction can be manipulated by coil size

Just about everything I build is at 2.5 or 3Ω. I have tried 2.0 at times, but it can be a bit hard for me to wick with my unsteady hands. Generally, I seem to wind up with a lot of 2.5 coils on the CLR and the eLeaf coils.
Believe me, I totally understand the shaky hands deal. Seems to get worse almost daily. Rebuilding the iCare coils is a real challenge!

Perfect, I had 2.5 - 3mm in mind and plenty 28 - 30ga wire. I'll be crankin a whoppin 15 - 18 WATTS into that 1.3 ohm coil. ;)

To give you an idea only.
Useing the master coiler recently obtained i use the marked 30 pin and have several made coils tested for about a week now.
26g kanthal 6 wraps seen from above=0.90 ohms
27g kanthal 6 wraps seen from above=1.02 ohms

Have 28g but forget what ohm i was getting in past and the wraps but i think it was right around 1 ohm or a little above , i do like the 26 and 27 to dry burn and re wick as it seems pretty durable.

I vape at 12.5 watts as this seems to be my sweet spot (flavorful ) for me personally, i suppose i would up the wattage if i had more VG in my mix but VG does not like me
Vg amount is 3.5% in my eliquid..
