Hey, Frannie -- The Pico is VERY comfortable for me to hold. Since it is shorter and has a larger base, it is more sturdy and less likely to topple over and cause a domino effect, (toppling over other mods near by, breaking glass, etc.). So far, I haven't dropped a Pico, either. Before this, my favorite was the istick 30, and I still use those, too. The attraction to the Pico for me was the removable battery. (I don't use the TC features, Ni or Ti, rarely go above 15 watts, but one day I might want to.)
We have 8 Picos in the house now, about 6 Defender 50s, and several iSticks in all sizes. I find I reach for the Picos.
You're a smart cookie and this isn't your first rodeo, so I am sure you are prepared. I would buy more Picos, if I were buying. Maybe that tells you something. But everyone has to make their own choices with what they like.
I wish you lived closer, I'd sure love to meet up for some beverages and let you try out a Pico or two!
I may have a pic comparing the size of the istick 30s and the Picos, side by side, if you would like to see.

Right, Jingles, that's another good point - I haven't even had a single Istick die on me yet. So when I thought of "upgrading", sticking with Eleaf products didn't worry me and seemed like the way to go.
Here's a pic of the Pico next to an IStick 30.

I still don't have a Pico.......

Morning,IMRs:) I just can't convince myself that I would like one. I have very small hands.

But it's the width I worry about not liking.

Franny, it is POSSIBLE the Pico MIGHT not turn out to be your FAVORITE device (I bet it will) but it won't turn into something you won't use either
for under $30 bucks, it is a safe bet to use for a vapin' device...

I play with my wife's everyday (Pico ;)) and it is a fine little device and she beats the heck out of hers (abuse)

I don't care for it because it is to small for me and I always seem to 'hunt' for the fire button
but that said, it works great, easy battery change, and has all the features of a modern day offering...

I couldn't help myself, after buying her a pink (me a gray) when the All Black & Brushed Silver came out, I HAD TO buy them...

jus sayin'

a little help (size) -- and the compare pic (red vtc mini / wht Pico) is from DingerCPA :)

What tank is that, @Nanny22 ? ^^^
That's the Ego One Mega V2 Stainless, @DebbieNY
Here's a link: Joyetech eGo ONE Mega V2 Tank
I use the rebuildable 1.0 CLR coils which last FOREVER and EVER with just changing the wick.
Here's a link for the coils: Joyetech CLR Coils (5 pack)
I am a MTL vaper, usually around 1.0 at 10 - 15 watts. These tanks have the perfect draw for my needs. They don't guzzle juice (at my settings, anyway).
In short, the juice lasts longer, coils last forever, easy on battery life (again, at my settings) and my goal with vaping is to replace smoking. It is a win/win for me all the way around. Not to mention, I am a flavor chaser and these tanks and coils deliver!

I should have known, but I hadn't paid much attention to these until recently. That CLR just looked so easy to dry burn & re-wick, so I picked up a couple of Trons (to match my VTC Minis in black, red, & white), but I like this better. ;)

EDIT: 2 each of the 4ml & the 2ml (silver & black in each) are on their way... Exactly like Zepp posted below. :)

Couldn't stop myself! Pushed that BUY NOW button yet again. Really need get some self control. Found an Ego One V1 2.4ml for 7.99 shipped. Darker blue than my teal colored Mega. Hoping the color and smaller size give me the perfect match for my little blue Vamo Box.

very cool ## sure you'll like them

my only issue is with all that glass, breakage is a possibility - tho I have slammed some to the tile floor and all is still good :w00t:
just a great all-around tank (plus coil)

Just wondering.... does anyone else actually need to use the JFC ring? I've seen a couple of you mention just removing them and with my JOC wick I felt the same about the ring. But a couple days ago I rebuilt both my CLRs to 1.39 ohm with 2.5mm ID. Then, jus cuz I'm me, I decided to wick with Peaches and Cream cotton yarn. Bought it a year ago for my PT2s but went with cheesecloth instead. Man this stuff wicks like a freakin siphon hose! Had to close the JFC down about 1 1/4 turns to get the popping and snapping to settle down, now it's doing fine with just an occasional tiny snap. Kinda like it like that.

I've got a ball of that in my stash... mostly use it in my Kayfuns and as cores in my Gennies...

I only USE 80%-100% VG , so I find no need to use the JFC ring to restrict wicking...
I think it very cool that it is there tho, in case one would have trouble with EXCESS wick feed (flood/gurgle)

but another trick I find very useful is:
by raising or lowering the ring (JFC)
I can determine the height that my mandral sits(during build), so to place the coil wire WHERE I want it to sit within the coil body
upload_2016-12-9_23-39-42.png

then after I'm done building, I just screw it back down...

my experience is when the wick is TOO LOOSE inside the wire I get snap-pop-crackle

I used that yarn, or 'kite-string' as I used to call it, in my Kanger bcc coils - I thought it was great ! (consistant)

I'm at 60V/40P. As I lower my nic level I've been increasing PG to retain some throat hit.

I've been doing this just to hold the mandrel/coil tightly in place while bending legs and reassembling the bottom end. Hadn't really considered coil positioning. But I will now.

This could very well be my problem. I seperate the 4 strands of the yarn then tie them together in the middle and pull thru the coil doubled over. Did 8 strands (4 doubled) for first try next time I'll try 10.

Yeah, consistency is what it's all about. Always feel like I'm playing a guessing game with JOC or anything that requires cutting and fluffing and re-rolling. With my Kangers it was 18 threads of cheesecloth doubled over to 36, perfect every time. I'll find the right number of yarn threads for these bigger coils eventually.

As always thanks to everyone for the help and the tips.

yepper, I used a toothpick to wrap wire
guessin' it was 2mm

then guessin' the 'yarn' was about 2.2mm
all matched up as a "perfect fit" and transformed my mild-mannered kanger bcc into high performance...

then as you say, I would UNwrap the 4-strand yarn and lay 1 OR 2 strands for the flavor wick across the top

it was a good system/set-up for a long while :w00t:

then the CLR came along and my bcc's are in storage... :?:

ho ho ho ~ slight blunder ~ I made a mistake while trying to assemble some 'gift-packs' for vapor`ers

so I found a good deal & ordered some Subtank Nano's to cover my mistake... (I mean the Elf's made them)

I love my eGo ONE tanks and if not for them, I would be rockin' the Kanger Subtanks - I think they're great (surely my #2 user tank)
have the ever popular Subtank Mini & also the Subtank Plus but never got one of the Nano's , always wanted to try/check one out
well, they arrived Saturday, I washed them up and put them in service...
of course all three Subtanks are built and designed the same way and come in an outstanding kit (nice box)
upload_2016-12-11_21-37-14.png

the Nano is a tall-n-skinny tank for sure - it has only 'one' air intake slot with (4) positions that have positive detents to lock into...
full open I DON'T THINK it has as much air flow as the eGo ONE tank , by just a bit...
it sure has MANY coil choices

upload_2016-12-11_22-36-53.png

I was planning on putting eGo ONEs on provaris when I realized they only allow down to 1.2Ω - which eGo ONEs only come in .5Ω & 1.0Ω
hello Nano :)
