think Sammy was the original Austin Powers - baby
Didn't see insulators the size required for the EO...did I miss it?
PT insulators are too small.

I don't know
have not tried, never had a need to

all the coils I've built, only lost maybe 1-2 silicone insert
just not something I think much about
I do have a jar of like 20 kanger ones I bought from LightningVapes way back
but I never tried to fit egoone into kangers o_O

A couple months ago, I got the eGo One Mega as part of a kit with the VTC Mini. Got a Cubis at the same time. Loved the VTC Mini but was pretty much underwhelmed with both tanks. I did not care for either coil that came with the Mega. In fact, after trying it with both, I put it in the box and left it there.

I've made a conscious effort the past few weeks to gather tanks with rebuildable coils. You folks taught me how to rebuild the 1.5 eLeafs, and I've bought a couple new things I can rebuild, including five EhPro Kayfun clones. I also decided to research to see if I could find a way to save the Mega and the Cubis. The jury is still out on the Cubis (I do not enjoy the Cubis rebuildable head) but when I got a pack of the 1.0 CLRs for the Mega, I knew I was onto something. Great flavor. Very easy to rewick. Looks easy to rebuild, too, but I haven't needed to yet. As I said on another thread last night, this coil is a game changer.

In the process of gathering rebuildable tanks/coils, I've done so much research that it has all started to run together for me. I also have a new original version Triton with the RTA, which also works in the Melo 3. Can anyone tell me if the 1.0 CLR works in any other tanks?

Oh, and I have another VTC Mini and Mega on the way.

I tried the Air insulators in the EO base and they are obviously too small.
If you get a chance to see if the Kanger insulators fit in the EO base, I would appreciate it.
Just trying to plan for the future. :)

The EO one CL stock coil was less than impressive to me, the 1.0 CLR coil was another matter. With the stock cotton it was good, pulled that and put in rayon and it became great to me!
I like the ease of recoiling and wicking with this tank and coil. The capacity is nothing to sneeze at either!

And I'd like to add what you mentioned to me the other day... It makes it simple to try out new DIY flavors. All in one tank! Awesome!

da Whack...

guess I am just totally loosing it
not only will the two insulators not fit each other, as I was looking for pics to prove it
I ran across this pic that, at the time, I was very proud of

the 3.5mm hole was too big -- the 1.8mm too small, so I compromised (guess it about 2.3mm ?)

so kanger insulator is fer sur to small to work with CLR pin/body

 asleep @ the wheel

 I remember seeing that post too...
And I did get an Air insulator to fit in the pin to bring the airflow down on the .5 pin. :w00t:

@Shawn Hoefer is also a fan of the Mega and CLR one, or at least he was when he made this video last November. He also points out some of the shortcomings of the stock coils that came with the tank.

Still use 'em frequently... including one in my Pico :)

If anyone is looking to add to their stash, Vaporrange has a fantastic deal right now on the Evic VTC Mini (60W) with the eGo One Mega tank. It's $29.95 for the kit, including shipping. Great company. I've ordered from them several times, and their shipping is very fast. I received a white kit today and just ordered a cyan one (those are the only two colors they have left). I wanted to wait before ordering the second one to be sure the Mega was actually part of the deal. It is.

I thought about waiting to see how much they were during the Fourth of July, but every time I've tried waiting on a sale to nab a short-stupply item, it has sold out before I got it. I love the mini and the eGo Mega, and $29.95 is hard to beat, so I went ahead and ordered a second one.

I consider myself well set for mods and tanks now, though I do plan to pick up another Pico during the Fourth sales just because I really like them.
