I have two that I bought elsewhere, and I love them. Could actually be my favorite tank. I have three eGo One Mega (4ml), two Mega v2 (4ml) and the two 2.5mls.

I worry whether I'll be able to order online after Aug. 8 since my state has a law that all tobacco products must be purchased in person. I have other tanks also, but the eGo tanks are my favorite. Not sure I feel secure with the number I have (7) if I'm unable to order online in the future.
That sucks. It probably depends whether the definition of "tobacco product" is specifically tied to that of the FDA, but I guess you'll find out soon enough. :(

Evening, egoone fans. :) I'm worried about what all the states are going to do.
Yeah, I think it will take a while for everything to become clear. In the beginning, at least, I'm more concerned that online retailers are going to be paranoid about shipping to my state than I am about the state actually stepping in to enforce the law. Just not sure how it will all shake out. I've felt like I need to stock up some just in case, and I think I'm in pretty good shape. Might still grab a couple or three more eGo ones this week, though, just because they're my favorite.

my feelings are that something wicked this way comes...

states AND fed gov are losing massive amounts of money AND THEY WANT THEIRS

. . . . that's it, bottom line, so to make up for it, we will pay - oooooh boy, are we gonna pay

I'll go ahead and say (we all know it) - just follow the money trail

This has been mentioned before, I believe, but may be worth repeating for newcomers to this thread and to ego one and Tron tanks: These tanks, especially with CLR coils, are splendid. They rarely misbehave. I had one misbehave this afternoon, leaking a little juice through the afc slots. No problem with the coil. No dramatic change in ambient temperature. What went wrong? Not enough juice in the tank. They do not always leak when juice is low, but when they do leak, juice level is low.

A tissue and a refill solved the problem.

Is it just me, or do others also get great flavor and copious clouds with CLR kanthal 1.0 ohm coils at absurdly low wattage? Currently have one one an istick 30. It was vaping hot at 10 watts. Put a large metal drip tip on to act as a heat sink. Still hot. Kept reducing watts with no loss of flavor, and little vapor loss. It is now at 5.9 watts!
Have been using this coil for over three weeks. Only change was to pull the cotton wick and replace with rayon. It is reading precisely 1.0 ohms.

Just moved it to a Defender 50. Reading 0.92 ohms, chucking hot clouds at 7.1 watts.

Currently vaping a Tron with a still stock 1.0 CLR head. Only problem I have is the screw-on cap of the CLR head will occasionally come off and stay in the Tron when I unscrew the deck to refill the tank.

To me, the flavor is slightly muted compared to what I get from my Kayfun 4 and Mini v3 clones, but I haven't even changed the cotton wick yet. It produces decent vapor at 12.5W and doesn't seem particularly hot to me. See no reason to change the stock drip-tip, which is very comfortable to me.

Well said, Gran. Since discovering the 1.0 CLR, I've been extremely happy with these tanks. Still haven't given either of my V2s a go but anticipate they will be fine. I'm not a huge fan of the hidden air flow usually but I can live with it. It bugs me on the Melo 3 a bit. though. Just can't ever seem to get it just right.

When you try the V2s you will find no difference from the Mega VTs, other than the body panels and tips. Both the older and newer versions of the Mega perform nicely.

A couple weeks back I speculated that the bases and tanks would probably not be compatible across versions. I was wrong. Just put a Mega VT on a V 2 afc base, and put the newer tank on the VT base. No change in vapor or flavor or draw. They are interchangeable.

:2c:

after vapin' a tank down 2 or three times (generally) I just unscrew the base
and take it, coil and all, to the sink and rinse it ALL off nice and clean...

then pull wick, dry burn, rewick, then top off juice, reassemble (never removing coil)
the whole process taking maybe 3-4 min

if I get a 'seeper' (out the afc slots) I just blow thru one side, wipe excess off the other side
and good to go for quite awhile longer...

definitely a pressure/vacuum thing going on when tank gets to less than maybe 8-10%

I always think when the 'cap' comes off the coil and sticks inside the tanks air flow tube
that the whole tank/coil combination is well designed and is a perfect fit (a snug seal)
the alternative would be sloppy and leakage effects...

I've not had this kind of luck, consistency, and pleasure from any other vapin' tank/coil combo - I'm very pleased

:) :) :)

Maybe that's why they stuff the coil with all that hard, compressed cotton? I've had no seepage/leakage issues with the stock coil.

Then again, I suspect the flavor will be better with a slightly looser cotton wick. Time will tell.

Are you using rayon or cotton? Just curious. :)

Hmm. Those V2s are pretty nice looking tanks. Kinda like the proportions. :?:

my set up is mainly, normally

•2.5/3.0mm I.D.
•30-28g SS
•5-8 wraps
•rayon

I like the SS wire best, but have a lot of Kanthal around so I try to mix it in so to use it up also

the SS wire is just cool because it can perform in Watts or TEMP CONTROL mode

and if I close my eyes, I think it tastes better... :?:
