I have begun to take an interest in the eGo ONE tank(clr). Does anyone build these heads for use on a Provari 2.5? My typical build for an rta is 2.0/2.5mm id coil, using 30g Kanthal, 2.0 - 2.5Ω. Air holes closed down for a carto type restricted air flow. I would like to try the 2ml size tank. Whatcha think.

Don't see how your choice of mod should have much effect on the performance of a kanthal coil in a CLR.

I've mostly done Ti tc coiling, but have built a couple kanthal clr coils that I use in all of the ego one tanks except the 2.0. For what it may be worth, here's what I have been doing, with happy results:

1.98 and 2.38 id coils, 6 and 7 wraps, 26 awg, rayon wicks.
I have had fine results with the tanks sitting on istick 30s, istick 40s, Defender 50s, Picos, and Heatvape Invader Minis. AFC adjustments are whatever pleases you. Sometimes, if I find the air flow too constricted for my personal taste, I pull the bottom pin from a kanthal 1.0 ohm CLR coil and replace it with the larger hole pin from a cl or CLR Ti coil head, then shut the afc down to about 10% open.

Good Morning! I am going to attempt my 1st dry burning of my original ego one CLR coil today Refresh my memory of dry burning.
Short pulses at low wattages? Just until it glows red?

pretty much, you got it

look for smoke signals :p

watch the burn-off AS you pay attention to wire getting red
no need to go beyond the first sign of red
allow to cool, push button again watch smoke tell-tail...

I burn off (almost red) blow, brush lightly with old toothbrush, again another almost red
all until it looks good, new wire again...

Do you notice much difference in coils with the 2.5 and 3.0 I.D.? Reason I ask is that I've used 5/64 and 3/32" shanks, and the smaller coils sometimes give dry hits. Am wondering if the larger I.D. and greater wick capacity does a better job keeping up with the prodigious vapor production of these tanks.

Morning, folks:) Wondering if I should grab another 2ml V2 tank. Really like the one I have.

ya know, the way I look at it " what if ya lost it " how would you cope if it was gone ??

thinkin they are the best tanks FOR ME ; I made the commitment and have-a-plenty so I don't have worry (much) :)

what if ya wreck the threads, drop break glass, Cheech steals it, ya lose it in you sock drawer, etc. ...

all up to your state of mind compared to the yearly amount of rainfall in Acapulco, MX

well, my thoughts are bigger wick "STORES" more juice (less chance of going dry)

but saying that, can't say I see any diff between 2.5 ID & 3.0 ID

Joyetech eGo ONE CLR Coils

Joyetech eGo ONE Tank

This is a black version of the 2.5ml tank. Not sure if they have other colors. That's a good price on the CLR coils, and you can't find them just anywhere. If you haven't ordered from Sweet-Vapes, I highly recommend them. Have ordered several times from them.

ETA: Here's the same tank (black) on sale for $9.95. I ordered a couple SS from them two weeks ago, but they're out of stock now. The CLR coils are $3 higher here, so you'll have to figure which is the cheaper option depending on what you really want to order.
