so you are getting an - eGo ONE Mega v2 battery kit ? pretty cool 2300mah auto run battery
don't over look the "CT" & "VT" models also

which istick do you speak of ?
the TC40w will do SS wire (it just doesn't have a TCR value labeled for it) and you have to stay UNDER 1.0Ω (start 200°, climb up)

pushing the re-placeable battery unit simply because it's another level of independence
and ULTIMATELY most end up there in the end...
just don't buy junk, not cutting corners with cost will increase your safety factor immensely
batteries and a charger and from a known vendor is fairly simple...

PuffZ, you are kwickly becoming my encyclopedia of vape gear, sweetie.

Mega (v2) thanks!

And..... just by the way...... Eggroll (Ego One Mega V2 tank) update: STILL loving it. Rewicking, a wispy breeze. We may get a couple more.

(and deal links are welcome, please)

guess the best $$ I know (now) is these two :

- Joyetech eGo ONE Mega V2 Tank
- Joye eGo ONE V2 Mega Tank - Stainless Steel

I build them so qwik, so fast, so Often now that I don't even give it a second thought
my tuffest chore is getting the " right " amount of wicking to stuff  (tuff problem to have)

tally-ho !

Yup I'm getting the v2 Mega kit for on the go vaping. And iStick power is the one that was named iPower initially. It's the one with 5000mAh battery and goes up to 80watts. It's available for $30 from where I purchase my supplies.

Though you have convinced me to hold off purchasing that one for now. I'm gonna look into removable battery mods once again later. Istick Pico seems pretty amazing. Too many good reviews to ignore this one.

LOVE the vape on the eGo ONE Mega V2...

But with the last couple CLR coils (from the blister pack...no rebuilding yet)...it starts to leak (from the AFC opening) when the tank gets down to 1-1.5ml. left...

Refill...works fine until, again, 1-1.5ml. remaining...(effectively turning it into a 2.5ml.-3ml. tank)...

Any suggestions???

..
It may help not sure in your case but i unscrew coil before i refill each time and have airflow wide open and run water thru it then blow thru it then tissue dry inside i use megav2 4 ml tanks.

Sometimes i just use tissue to sop up any e-liquid inside the bottom cap instead.
Not to much a hassle as i rotate 3 tanks.

Never have a leak in them at all but i always refill when the e-liquid gets even where the glass
at bottom of tank meets the metal and glass no longer shows on megav2.

Thanx for the tips Dies...will try them...

My Mega V2 starts to seep through the slits in the AFC when the ejoose is about 1/8 inch above where the glass meets the bottom metal...

I have this happen on occasion - I make a point to STUFF more cotton/rayon into wire coil opening and usually fix's it
(if you would only start to build you own)

There are some things you can try and trouble shoot.
I by far am not an expert and go by what i have experienced.

Don't overfill tank as it creates to much pressure in tank and can force e-liquid down thru the head .
Seals create leakage also if no good.

When coil is screwed down in base the pin compresses into gasket and helps seal it.
Problem can arise from factory or upon a rebuild if the ground and or positive wire extends to far out bottom gasket or under the pin it will leave tiny gap not good.
For example
Recently i rebuilt my wismec amor plus and left both leads to long and it leaked for i found out once i cut the leads it no longer leaked.

Even factory coil heads can be defective as many of us have experienced.

After taking apart and cleaning any e-liquid gathered in the base and then reassembled if after 1 tank
vaped one see's a decent amount of e-liquid back in the base there is too much seepage going on.
Its normal for some to be there from some not being vaporized not to be alarmed and reason why i always
clean my base by running it under water or using tissue or by blowing it out by wrapping tissue around the
fully opened airhoes - watch your eyes !

Too low a wattage when vaping also can be a problem where as all the e-liquid is not being vaporized and little by little it seeps down thru middle of head into base and eventually out the afc holes over time.

Too little cotton or too much cotton can be a problem as well when rebuilding, what i find works best
is practice, i grab the new cotton end and twist it thin to where i can grab it and pull slowly and gently thru coil and out other end until there is resistance this is where i stop and trim the wicks about even with the hole in head.
Personally for me it helps solve problem of too little or too much cotton in the coli which can also contribute to e-liquid seeping down thru coil head.

We all vape different but there are some things mentioned that may or may not help some folks.
But can attest i get no leakage using the megav2 4ml tank or the wismex amor plus 3.8ml tank.

Good luck.

LOL actually size isn't much of a concern because I'm not gonna carry this one around. What would you say are your favorite features in iStick 60w? Advantages over the Pico?

And let me clarify this one again, SS wires can be used in nickel or titanium TC mode and the only caveat is not to believe the temperature displayed on screen? I ask because I think SS is easier to build with than nickel or titanium right? You can see I'm new to this :D

Yunz guys are 156% correct...I gotta' get over my inertia/fear/laziness about rebuilding the CLR coil...

(@GranFumador ...[before he disappeared]...was even nice enough to mail me a foot of rayon to try)...

Yeah, it looks and sounds much harder then it is. I was in fear too but 1st try came out perfect. Messed up maybe 3 in 6 months since then. Just got a two post two hole RTA as well I almost didn't buy because "it's tiny deck, hard to build on, hard to wick" same thing 1st try was perfect super easy lol. I think paid reviewers and vendors just make it sound hard because they make more money for the company selling you 5 coils for $20 then 20 for $1 LOL.

As always pufZ...GREAT and informative pics!!!
(You overlooked my "fav amongst me, myself and I"...the Target Mini...)
Target Mini Kit $24.99 Vaporesso

cool, gotcha - I wasn't playin' the whole field, I was just running down the ~jo/el/wis family~ (Joel Wiss) (joyetech/eleaf/wismec)

;):confused::eek:o_O :lol:

I've been telling ya for like 6 years now - once you FINALLY build one you will be stunned by the results
and then your rear end will hurt from KICKING yourself for not doing it sooner...
:rolleyes::facepalm::rolleyes:

get with the plan

the TC60w - everything (no really, everything)
and this is for ME ~ I love the fit and it being VERY symmetrical
it's kinda big but sorta lite, the two side panel doors pop off to change colors (if one would care) and make battery swap a breeze !
the price, features, and now that I've been using several for like a year and a ½ add in durability - cheap easy to find silicone sleeves
60w more that enuff for me, stainless steel threading, springy 510 pin, info screen, lanyard hole, USB, easy to use
battery life seems better than most (at LEAST the same) TC function, TC watts adjustable

- - - -

I went thru my current toppers and didn’t have a below >1.0Ω SS coil in use

So just to answer your “Q” , I built a SS coil @ .8Ω

My first TC unit was the TC40w (bought for wife)
When put into TC MODE it auto-sets watts to max (40w) I don’t like that
so with my new .8Ω SS coil, I put it on TC40w and set TC mode to Ni
then rolled the temp down to 200°- I ended using it @ 210°/40w (too hot for my liking)
the Ti mode is very hot (40w/200°)
then I put it on the TC60w
set the TC watts to 28w/then 220° and it is perfect (for me) nice warm vape…

then just for giggles, I put it on my newest TC unit (iTaste Hunter)

Innokin does stuff different, so this is what went down...
300° is min, and watts start @ 25w and move in 5w increments only (TC mode 25w-75w)
so I set it to ~SS/25w/300°~ (very nice and same vape as TC60w)

Next up was the wismac ‘Stout’ - SS mode/22w/320° (my preference)
and again, just how I like it – a warm FULL vape

So the feature of being able to adjust your TC wattage makes a big difference, to me

Then the older TC units you had to stay UNDER 1.0Ω or it ‘kicks’ you out of TEMP CONTROL
newer ones fix both allowing you to use watts adj, & use koils up to 1.5Ω in TC mode
forced to use the hotter “sub” ohm koils and then the higher set TC TEMP is too hot , for me
